You know the feeling. It's 7pm on a Friday night. Your friends are getting ready to go out when you just feel that drag. You know going out is just impossible because of the week you've had. You take off your going out clothes and put on your comfiest pajama pants, climb into bed, and pull up Netflix. Except, you have no idea what you want to watch. You end up falling asleep or eating all your snacks before you can even pick something to watch. We all know this tragedy. Alas, look no further! I am here to provide a list of noteworthy films and shows for the perfect night in.
Living With Yourself
Anything with Paul Rudd in it is a go to honestly. This sci-fi series presents an ethical dilemma in cloning. It is serious and impactful while still being funny.
Parks and Recreation
A well known series for sure. However, it's super lighthearted and funny. It is easy to watch starting at ay episode and there are a lot of epodes to keep you going for future nights in.
The Circle
Who doesn't love some trashy reality tv? This show features people living in the same apartment building in NYC but isolated in their individual apartments. The only way they can communicate with each other is through a social media app on their TVs. Some people are authentic, some are catfishes, all are dramatic.
The Good Place
Only seasons 1-3 are on Netflix (but you can always make your way over to Hulu for the fourth season!). This light hearted comedy follows the *after*life of four humans and how the system works. It's quite thought provoking while also being easy to enjoy. And a plus, it's freaking hilarious.
To All the Boys
Make it a marathon night! If you're a fan of cheesy high school romantic comedies, look no further. The first, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, and the second, To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You, are bound to make your heart warm.
Schitts Creek
An extremely wealthy family loses all their money and has to move to the small town of Schitts Creek because that is their only asset left. Watching this family interact with their surroundings is bound to leave you LOLing.
Sex and the City
Not only are the first 2 movies on Netflix, but so is the Carrie Diaries!!! IF you can't get enough of their antics in the city, just continue with the prequel series! And I mean Austin Butler is in it soooo.....
Cheer
Maybe I'm biased, but this docuseries, similar to Last Chance U, is riveting and interesting. IF you spent your life growing up around cheer, its fun to get back to your roots. If you haven't, pick it up and start learning about the incredible sport that they love. It's very easy to follow and you are bound to be impressed.
Grace and Frankie
Jane Fonda. I feel like that's reason enough.
Always Be My Maybe
This film is absolutely adorable and hilarious. Randal Park and Ali Wong as teenagers is something you just have to see. You won't regret it.
