10 Must Visit Places in Wilmington for the One Tree Hill Fan Girl

Wilmington, NC... known for being One Tree Hill's filming city and for being amazing in general! If you're a true fan girl, it is well worth the trip, no matter the distance. These are just ten of the many places you can visit, and the cool thing is that each destination is within a 15 minute drive of the rest of them!

My friends and I made a day trip out of Wilmington this past summer, and it was awesome (from the fan-girl-ing to the good food to the city being so beautiful altogether). We used this site to find all the specific addresses, which was a huge help! Make a one day road-trip out of it, a girls weekend, a beach weekend, WHATEVER, JUST GO!

P.S. Don't read the spoiler alerts if you like surprises :)

1. Let's take it from the intro: the bridge

Spoiler alert! The bridge is not your typical bridge. It's a one way bridge with stoplights on both ends! So yeah, try not to get hit by a car while taking your picture!

2. Lucas' house... duh *insert sassy girl emoji*

Spoiler alert! It may not be what you wanna hear, but I must say the surrounding neighborhood is pretty run down and a little sketchy. It's interesting, however, that Lucas' house was farthest from majority of the other houses. Again, be safe!

3. Tree Hill High: home of the drama

Spoiler alert! It looks a good bit different than you'd expect, located at a community college rather than a high school. A big parking garage has been built nearby, but you can still recognize the inner grounds notorious for where the characters ate lunch and talked/screamed through all their drama.

4. Brooke's house... After all she is the girl behind the red door.

Spoiler alert! This house was actually hard to find since it's in a neighborhood full of other beautiful houses! The address we got offline was wrong, but we ended up finding it right down the street. Trust your gut (if you're a true fan-girl), not the internet.

5. TRIC/Red Bedroom Records

Spoiler alert! This place will be one of your favorite spots! Here you'll find tons and tons of writing from fans on the bricks of the building. Bring a good sharpie and make your mark!

6. The Cracker Jack Table... Nathan & Haley "always and forever"!

Spoiler alert! It is slightly hard to recognize because the wood has aged and they've done some remodeling, but it is still super cute. There's an old shack looking building right beside it, and if you have any kind of experience like mine, watch out for town drunks (LOL).On the plus side, there's a cute (and tasty) little ice cream shop nearby!

7. Nathan Scott's family home

Spoiler alert! The awesome thing here is that you can see the spot (and there's a basketball goal) where Nathan played in the show! The not so great thing is that it's surrounded with trees and bushes, for privacy I'd assume considering fan-girls like you and me have no regard for that.

8. Karen's Café/Clothes Over Bros

Spoiler alert! This place is probably the hardest to recognize! If you need some help, it's across the street from a little café (which just so happens to be the one Brooke has a fit in in season 9), and the café is beside a little Subway right in the midst of the downtown area. It is now a cute clothing store, although the clothes are nowhere near as cute as Brooke's! This image isn't exactly what it looks like today, but it probably will give you the best idea of what to expect.

9. Peyton's house...

Spoiler alert! This house is surrounded by bushes, as Nathan's house is, so it is a little difficult to find. But how could you not wanna see the house where psycho Derek was pushed out of the window? Talk about an intense episode...

10. The River Court

Spoiler alert! As you can see in the picture, the actual court is gone! Such a shame. Apparently, it was removed back in 2011. A battleship park is in the same general area. The plus side here is number one, that they couldn't get rid of the river, and number two, there's a wood shed area with picnic tables where, just like the TRIC location, there is tons and tons of writing from fellow fan-girls.

Don't say I never gave you anything...

XOXO,

Your fellow fan-girl

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
