The 518 area has more to offer than the great views of the Adirondacks. It is also known for its little bars and grills in the downtown area filled with passionately cooked food. Although the area may be quite small, that doesn't mean anything compared to the kick you can get from some of these cheap and easy restaurants. Take a look at some of the places I recommend.

1. Lake George: Sammy D's Cafe

This cute cafe in lake George serves fresh and flavorful soups, sandwiches, and free dessert (with exception). They are quite popular for their chef recommendations, and although the cafe is located in a weird area, it's totally worth the trip.

2. Albany, NY: Athos Restaurant

This restaurant is totally date night worthy and offers a wide variety of seafood. For anyone who loves Greek food, this is the place for you to be. Staff creates an elegant feel with a beautiful set-up to create a breath-taking dining experience.

3. Schenectady, NY: Blue Ribbon Restaurant And Bakery

With a family-friendly environment, and Italian cuisine.. who wouldn't want to visit this restaurant? More pasta for me!

4. Rotterdam, NY: Zeezout

Known for their fresh fish, and wine menu including a wonderful view of the river outside, this place is orientated for couples, or business travelers.

5. Troy, NY: The Capital Grille

This restaurant welcomes everyone who wants to sit down and enjoy American food. A very popular steakhouse in its area with a well-mannered staff. Highly recommend!

6. Saratoga Springs, NY: Triangle Diner

This diner clearly needs to be on your list for a couple of reasons. One of them being that the food is incredibly cheap, and the service is very quick. The theme screams old western, and if that doesn't attract customers, I don't know what does.

7. Glens Falls, NY: Bistro Tallulah

There is never a bad experience at the Bistro Tallulah. The wait staff is incredibly knowledgeable of their menu, and extremely attentive of their customer's needs. The food is American orientated with unique dishes you won't find at any other chain restaurants.

8. Queensbury, NY: The Silo Restaurant

Serving breakfast based food only, The Silo is known for its fresh eggs Benedict, and cider donuts. What makes it even more convenient is that its located across from its very own gift shop. That gives you a place to visit while you're waiting for your food. How cool!

9. Clifton Park, NY: Saigon Spring Vietnamese Restaurant

For all the Asian food lovers, I haven't left you out. The food comes out very quickly and is in a convenient location next to the mall on route 9. Some of the recommended dishes include the shaking beef, and the Pho. Please go check it out.

10. Gloversville, NY: House of Pizza

Lastly, is this restaurant that despite the name actually serves Italian and Greek food as well. you'd be surprised how inviting the interior is, and how much food you get on your plate. At this place there's always a take home box!

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
