Summertime calls for a vacation time! Whether it is going to your beach house for a couple of days or flying to Europe for a month, we all need our essentials to get through our time away. May and June are the best months to find deals on vacation essentials. Retailers such as Victoria's Secret, Pacsun, Forever 21 and, Urban Outfitters have great deals on summer clothing ranging from 10% to 75% off around this time. I suggest you keep a look out!

I'll be heading to Walt Disney World in Florida in a few weeks! I'm beyond excited to see Mickey Mouse and explore a new part (for me) of the Magic Kingdom called Fantasyland. I have been going to Disney World for years so I know a thing or two about packing for a flight and for the time being spent at a destination.

From my experience of traveling, I have a few tips, tricks and, essentials for your vacation needs:

1. Leave your purse at home, ladies and invest in a backpack!

A backpack is not only easier to carry but it can carry all the things you need throughout the day. I'll be using a little sack bag I got from Disney that had Donald Duck's butt on it! The backpack is cute and is appropriate for where I am going to be.

2. Bring a backup collapsable duffel bag

I suggest you pack an extra bag if you are a big spender when you are on vacation. You might need it after walking and shopping at every store in Downtown Disney because you have a shopping problem... that's me.

3. WATERPROOF EVERYTHING, LADIES!

Waterproof mascara. Waterproof eyeshadow. Waterproof lip balm. You need it. Now, I'm not saying you need waterproof everything so that you can go into the pool and still look good. I'm advising you to have waterproof makeup because it is hot. You are going to be sweating A LOT! The last thing you need is your makeup melting off your face.

4. Sunscreen and aloe vera

Make sure to buy a sunscreen that will protect you. I know people who just use oil. You are basically cooking yourself if you use oil when being in direct sunlight. Use sunscreen so that you do not get sun poisoning or even worse, skin cancer. My skin is fair and I do burn easily. I use an SPF of 50 to 100. I still get a great golden tan! If you do happen to burn because you forgot an area or didn't apply enough lotion, use aloe vera. I can tell you from experience, it is so cooling!

5. Sunglasses or a baseball hat

Go and get yourself a pair of sunglasses so you can protect your eyes from the sun! I suggest getting a pair of sunglasses that will last you a while so that you aren't spending five dollars every time a cheap pair breaks.

6. WATER

Drink lots of water so you can stay hydrated throughout the day. Make sure to have at least one water bottle in your backpack at all times.

7. Multiple chargers/ Portable chargers

You need make sure you have enough charge so you can capture an "Instagramable" moment.

8. Dry Shampoo

Beachy hair is always in but oily hair, not so much. My hair gets pretty oily even after I shower it so having dry shampoo is definitely a must!

9. Comfortable summer clothing

You have to feel comfortable in your clothing, especially for the summertime. Make sure to find something you feel good in! Get that bathing suit you feel sexy in. Pack those jeans and shorts that aren't restricting.

10. Sneakers

Wear sneakers so that you can walk 'til you drop!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
