The Wildwoods are full of places to go and see but the one important thing is where to eat. There's always speculation when it comes to dinnertime in my house on where to go or what we are in the mood for. With so many options in the summer and a limited variety in the winter it's hard to remember all the great places the island has to offer. Whether it's a fan favorite or a local hideout these are a few of the must eat places. (In no particular order)
1. Dogtooth Bar and Grill
The dogtooth has become quite the hit on my list, with their huge salads and family sized appetizers there's no way to go wrong.
2. Piro's Pizza
If I had to choose a favorite pizza place it would probably be Piro's. SAMs is great, don't get me wrong but there's just something about Piro's that hits the spot. And they offer more than pizza!
3. Two Mile Landing/Crab House
Although this isn't technically in the Wildwoods it's on Ocean Drive from Wildwood Crest to Cape May, so I'm counting it. Here they have some of the best seafood dishes and appetizers and a beautiful view of the sunset, depending on what time of the day you go!
4. Russos Market
Every summer I wait and anticipate the opening of this market. My personal favorite is the cheesesteak but I've also had the hoagies which are awesome too! It's even a convenience store packed with everything you could need!
5. Duffers
If you've ever been to the Wildwoods you know the deal with Duffers. A family owned and operated restaurant, this place is the REAL DEAL. Their ice cream is no joke people! It's a personal favorite on late nights after work.
6. Fitzpatrick's Crest Tavern
This is a go-to. My dad and I have been coming here forever. Their chicken cheesesteaks are the best thing since sliced bread and let's not forget about the Fitz's Fries!
7. Jellyfish Cafe
If you're looking for a good breakfast or lunch place, this is where you need to be. The Jellyfish has a huge menu with everything from eggs and waffles to salads and sandwiches, with a great atmosphere you'll definitely be leaving here pleased.
8. Alumni Grill
With a huge selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads, and more, Alumni is always a great selection when you don't know what you're feeling. With their daily specials you can always change it up, or stick to your usual like me(the Wild Ocean Wrap is the way to go.)
9. Ravioli House
If you're looking for good Italian, you found it. The Ravioli House has a large menu with even larger portions and let's not forget about their desserts, they get their own takeout counter!
10. Cool Scoops
This is another ice cream parlor, because who doesn't love ice cream! With a 50's feel and old fashioned cars to sit in Cool Scoops makes you feel like you're eating in a different decade. From sundaes to milkshakes to plain old ice cream Cool Scoops is sure to hit that sweet tooth need.
Bonus!
Now I may be a little biased because I work at these two places but I think they have pretty great food.
Suncrest Market
With a fully stocked convenience store this place has got it going on! They offer sandwiches, freshly homemade salads, and even rotisserie chickens and ribs! My personal favorite is a plain old turkey sandwich because how could you go wrong with that?!
Hotspot #4
Located on the boardwalk the Hotspot has got it all, from buffalo chicken pizza to chicken parm to gyros this kitchen is cranking it out! With a great wait and kitchen staff there's no doubt be happy and full walking out of here.
