If you, the reader, are anything like me, you will probably not be going out this Halloween. So I've compiled a list of some movies you can curl up in the dark with a humongous blanket, a bowl of Halloween candy, and a hot chocolate. Rest your minds, because I've got the list for you to bring on the scariest night of the year.
1. Hocus Pocus
I place Hocus Pocus as the top choice because it's not only a classic, but it's the only original Disney channel movie that deserves any recognition for originality and premise on a major historical event.
2. Dracula
Not just the older, 20th century version, but watching up to the oldest version really shows how the elements of the story come together; and an original scare is the best scare.
3. Saw
It's a creepy movie that makes the night more fun to enjoy.
4. Nightmare on Elm Street
This movie is another classic that never gets old, and it shall never be ruined, no matter how many remakes it produces.
5. Friday the 13th
This movie is no longer just for the day where bad luck occurs. This movie brings thrills and chills.
6. Halloween
Why not have Halloween with Halloween? Michael Myers is the killer to watch on Halloween night, especially when there's no one else around.
7. Jeepers Creepers
Following another great monster, this scarecrow is the demon you have got to watch. It will be the nightmare you won't ever want to live.
8. Harry Potter
Let's not forget our Harry. He is the greatest wizard of all, anyhow.
9. Insidious
Let's face it, the world has been starved of originality until James Wan came along with his own creative styles.
10. American Horror Story
It's not a movie, but it's a show that is worth watching at anytime during the year. What time is better than now to watch this?
Get your ghoul on, and let's scare the living soul out of ourselves tonight
