These 10 movies will make you cry, laugh and wonder if you'll ever find true love. In 2017 and 2018, I fell deeply in love with these movies. From "Call Me By Your Name," which made me smile wide and cry at the end with its monumental last scene to "Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri" that angered my soul with its devastating storyline to "Moonlight," a beautiful film that broke my heart. I recommend everyone takes some time to watch these wonderful movies that changed my life.

1. "Call Me By Your Name" (2017)

I will say this until the day I die, but Timothée Chalamet was snubbed from receiving his Oscar and Golden Globe awards in 2018. “Call Me By Your Name” has, by far, been my favorite movie of 2018. This beautiful, cinematic film displayed unrequited young love between two wonderful characters. Elio and Oliver, the main characters of the film, develop a romantic relationship in the scenic 1980s Italy. The story will leave you in a puddle of tears by the end.

2. "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" (2017)

This movie stole the awards during the Oscars and Golden Globe season. It was the rightful winner. “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” takes the audience through the journey of a woman finding the individual that raped and killed her daughter. The audience anticipates whether Mildred, the mother in search of her daughter's killer, ever finds closure.

3. "Love, Simon" (2018)

Nick Robinson stole my heart in 2018 with this endearing movie. “Love, Simon” is about a 17-year-old boy living in the suburbs of modern America with a secret. The movie presents the pivotal year of Simon’s life when he “comes out” to his friends, family and his entire school. “Love, Simon” will leave you smiling and hoping to find your true love.

4. "Me And Earl And The Dying Girl" (2015)

This movie wasn’t recently released but was my favorite movie of 2017. “Me And Earl And The Dying Girl” is a funny, heartfelt, somber and witty movie. This movie is incredibly underrated and shows Greg, the main character, and his blossoming friendship with a girl who was recently diagnosed with cancer. “Me And Earl And The Dying Girl” will cause you to laugh and cry with an emotional ending.

5. "As You Are" (2017)

An independent film, not widely publicized, “As You Are” is about two boys, Jack and Mark, whose newly-acquainted parents move in together. They have to learn to get along within a short period of time and their new friendship turns into a secret romance, which results in the death of an individual.

6. "Irreplaceable You" (2018)

This Netflix original is the perfect definition of a romantic film. “Irreplaceable You” is about Abbie, recently diagnosed with cancer and in-search of a compatible mate for her partner Sam, when she passes. This movie causes the audience to cherish their loved ones before it’s too late.

7. "Begin Again" (2013)

This movie is a now five years old, but it deserves to be appreciated by the masses. “Begin Again” stars Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley, showing the odd musical collaboration between two people. “Begin Again” presents the struggles of a singer-songwriter in a new city with limited connections and the drive to make music.

8. "Moonlight" (2016)

No words can describe how I felt about this movie, but it is absolutely wonderful. “Moonlight” touches the soul through the account of three chapters of Chiron’s life in a rough neighborhood of Miami, Florida. “Moonlight” is cinematically beautiful and the story allows you to walk in the shoes of young Chiron’s character.

9. "The Edge Of Seventeen" (2016)

I fell in love with this movie in 2016. Hailee Steinfeld plays the character of a lost 17-year-old in high school who has endured several obstacles in a short time. “The Edge of Seventeen” is witty and charming, relating to the lost, teenage girl in a disheveled society.

10. "La La Land" (2016)

“La La Land” stole my heart at the beginning of 2017 with the charming attitude of Sebastian and loveliness of Mia, the two main characters. This movie is far from a corny musical; rather, it features amazing numbers and an entertaining storyline. “La La Land” presents the relationship between the man of our dreams, Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone that endures obstacles as each pursues success in their respective careers.

With this horrible April weather, I hope everyone can enjoy these movies!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
