My family is big on Holiday movies. Now that Winter Break is upon us, here are my top 10 Holiday movie suggestions for you to watch this break.
10. The Polar Express
A classic movie with a heart-warming story. The Polar Express is perfect with siblings, parents, or friends, a cozy blanket, and a warm cup of hot chocolate.
9. Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Whether the animated version or the Jim Carey version, nothing will fill your heart quite like The Grinch. It's possible your heart might even grow three times as big.
8. A Christmas Story
Once again, a classic. It really isn't Christmas without watching the shenanigans of Ralphie and crew.
7. The Muppet Christmas Carol
I mean, any version of The Christmas Carol would work, but this is my personal favorite version, great music, Muppets, and all.
6. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
A great one to get you in the Christmas spirit, watch the story of how Kris Kringle became the Santa Claus we've come to know and love.
5. The Year Without Santa Claus
What would happen if there was no more Christmas spirit? Well, a few adventures, a few run-ins with the Miser brothers, and some hope might be able to bring Santa Claus back.
4. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Not only is it the story behind the Christmas-favorite song, but it is a heart-warming story. Between Hermie, Clarisse, Bumble, Yukon Cornelius, and, of course, Rudolph, this is a movie to love and remember.
3. A Charlie Brown Christmas
My family watches this movie EVERY Christmas. It's hard to not love Charlie Brown and his friends and the warm message of this movie. Plus, Linus nails it with the telling of the Christmas story.
2.Elf
I mean... in a way, it's a cult classic. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to hate tights-wearing Will Ferrell as an overly enthusiastic human who believes he is an Elf and absolutely loves Christmas. This movie is sure to put you in a good mood and is extremely quotable when you want a laugh with your family or friends.
1. It's A Wonderful Life
Bring out the hot chocolate, bring out the tissues, be prepared for tears and listen for that bell. If this story doesn't make you emotional, then you need to re-watch it and get more invested. The troubles of George Bailey help bring us back to reality, despite this movie being made in 1946.
