I know that I can speak for myself when I say that I love cold fall days. What’s not to love? You can stay inside, wrap yourself in a fleece blanket cozy in bed or on the couch. Don’t forget the hot chocolate or apple cider. Once you sit down you may find yourself scrolling through websites trying to find the best movies to watch. Here is a list I have compiled of the ten best movies to watch on a cold fall day.

1. "Halloweentown"

Halloweentown is a classic 90’s movie. It is about a girl who finds out that she is a witch. Though her mother is in denial that her daughter has these powers, the daughter leaves home and goes to Halloweentown with her grandmother. Here she finds herself and how to use her powers. This movie is for sure one that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and also one of my all-time favorite fall movies.

2. "The Notebook"

If you're feeling a little more on the romantic side, "The Notebook" is a great movie to choose. "The Notebook" is about two lovers who have so much history together and they continue to make history throughout the movie. This movie is one that will make you need tissues nearby.

3. The "Divergent" Series

The "Divergent" series is an action film with romance mixed into it. This movie will keep you on your toes the entire time. It is a series that I have been impressed with since seeing the first movie. To have a movie marathon with this series it will take six hours and 31 minutes to finish.

4. "The Conjuring 2"

This movie is definitely one that will keep you on edge the entire time. This is a great choice if you feel like having crap scared out of you. If you are feeling brave this is a good film to choose. Make sure when watching you have plenty of pillows nearby.

5. "The Legend of Tarzan"

"The Legend of Tarzan" is an awesome film which puts a twist on the animated version many of us 90’s children know. This film is very realistic and is one that is constantly intense. Not only is it an adventure film it also had a bit of romance in it as well. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

6. The "Harry Potter" Series

If you are feeling like having a marathon movie day, the Harry Potter series is a great choice. I have been a lover since the first film. It is possible to watch all eight Harry Potter films. If you are planning on having a marathon you should know to complete all films it will take you 19 hours and 40 minutes.

7. "The Wizard of Oz"

"The Wizard of Oz" is a great way to start a cozy fall day. It is an adventurous film and an absolute classic. This is a film that most have already seen but one that you can watch over and over again. It is one that will get you in the “Halloween” mood for sure.

8. "Back to the Future" Series

This is another movie series that you could have a marathon with. Although, it is not nearly as long as Harry Potter. Back to the Future is a series based on a teenage kid not only going to the future but also back in time. There are three different parts of this movie. My personal favorite is Part II. To complete this marathon, it takes five hours and 42 minutes.

9. "Hocus Pocus"

Here is another 90’s classic that many of us have seen but it sure will get you in the Halloween spirit. Hocus Pocus is for sure a must-watch every year! This is a great way to warm up to the Halloween season.

10. "The Fault in Our Stars"

This is one that you will most definitely use an entire box of tissues for. This movie is a great one to watch while being all cozied up. It will make you laugh, cry, and angry. This movie is a much watch for a cozy day.

Cozy up and choose one of my favorites to enjoy on your cozy fall day.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
