If you're like me, you may understand the stress and fun of being a writer. I also love K-Pop. What better way to express my writerly self that with my favorite music genre? Take a look into my emotions and thoughts as I write every day.

1. When I have an idea for a story but I lose it as soon as I open my journal.

2. When I ask myself, "When will I finish this story?"

And when someone ask me that same question.

3. When a reader finds an interesting metaphor or theory in my story that I didn't notice until now.

4. When I tell people I major in creative writing and they say, "Good luck finding a job with that degree."

And what I want to do on the inside.

(I do not condone violence.)

5. When they say they'll read my work but never mention it again.

6. When someone compliments my work.

7. When someone only says, "It was interesting."

8. When someone points out grammatical errors.

9. When someone starts to critique my work with "I like it, but..."

On the outside, I'm like:

But on the inside, I'm like:

10. When I get a new writing prompt.

11. When I finally have an idea for my story.

12. When I finish my story.

13. When I contemplate if I should submit my work or not.

14. When I submit my poems and stories to a publication company (online).

15. When I thought they would publish my work.

But then I receive a rejection letter from them.

16. When I meet people who are into writing as much as I am.

17. When I'm with my writing squad.

18. When I write a poem/story in one day.

19. When I edit that same poem/story on the next day.

20. When I start doubting myself and question my humanity while editing that same poem/story.

21. When I tell myself that no matter what, I will continue to improve myself as a writer from the critiques and compliments by others because it's what I love and do.

So whether I'm working on my poems or writing the next Odyssey article, now you know what's going through my mind.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
