Every new week in college is filled with a little bit of the same old, same old, which is only inevitable when we take the same classes every week and tend to surround ourselves with a lot of the same people. However, it does make it easy to pinpoint some "college moments" we have all probably experienced at some point or another. 2. The oh sh*t moment when a professor calls on you, and you don't know it, your lifeline doesn't know it, even the nerdy kid next to you doesn't know it, and you're like:

3. The aha moment when, after getting a good grade on that test, you realize you're finally a genius.

4. The moment after you finish that Chipotle burrito or go back for thirds at the dining hall, and you say, "I'll start tomorrow."

9. Next comes the waking up on Saturday morning moment (after a Friday night out), and what a b*tch that can be.

10. The coming home moment. You decide to be a good child and go home to see good ole' Mom and Dad, but the minute you walk in the door...

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
