I am a self-proclaimed makeup addict. I buy new makeup products at least once a week and I like to try out all of the popular products that "Instagramers" and "YouTubers" promote online. Makeup is a great way to express your inner femininity and creativity! Here is a list of all of my absolute favorite products that I use on a regular basis:

1. Smashbox "Photo Finish Primer"

This is my all-time favorite primer. It feels soft and smooth on my skin while giving me a matte effect. I also have a bit of acne scarring on my chin, but this primer smooths that out to give me a flawless complexion when I apply my foundation. It also does not make my skin break out which is a huge plus. You can get it at Ulta for $36.

2. Naked "Hybrid Complexion Perfector"

This product is what I use on a daily basis as a foundation. It gives a lighter coverage look but still blurs the imperfections on my skin. It also perfects any discoloration that I have, which is great on my dark skin. You can get it at Ulta for $34.

3. Milani "Cream to Powder Makeup"

This works great for a heavier coverage makeup. It blends very smoothly and builds up to strong coverage. I usually use this on any zits that come up, or if my eyes are super dark in the morning. You can get it at Kmart for $7.59.

4. Tarte "Smooth Operator"

On the rare occasion that I bake my face, this is my go-to powder. It's translucent, so it looks good on any skin tone. I also put a light layer over my skin if I am feeling extra oily, it makes my skin look and stay matte. You can get it at Ulta for $33.

5. NYX "Ombre Blush"

This is my favorite blush and I've tried almost every blush on the market. It's hard to find a blush that gives life to my skin tone, so this bright pink color (I wear the color Sweet Spring) works like a charm. The bonus with this product is that is stays all day. Get it at Ulta for $9.99.

6. Benefit "Ka-Brow!"

I am new to doing my eyebrows since I have incredibly thick, curly brows. However, once I started using the "Ka-Brow!" gel, I have done my brows almost every day. The gel is super easy to use, and allows you to build up to the brows you want. Get it at Ulta for $24.

7. Essence Lipstick

The Essence lipstick in the color "Cool Nude" is my favorite lipstick. It is the perfect nude for my skin tone, and there aren't many nudes out there that work for me. The lipstick stays on for hours and doesn't feel overly dry. You can get it at Ulta for $2.99.

8. Lorac Pro Eye Palette

This eye palette has quickly become my favorite. It's colors are perfect for fall and stay on all day with no fallout. Get it at Ulta for $44.

9. Maybelline "Master Strobing Stick"

This highlighter is by far my favorite that I have tried. it is super pigmented and, when blended, packs a bright punch that lasts all night. You can get it in a variety of colors as well. Get it at Ulta for $8.99.

10. Essence "I Love Extreme" Mascara

This super cheap mascara is the only mascara I use. It lengthens my lashes and adds tons of volume. It reminds me of other mascaras 5-times its price. Get it at Ulta for $4.99.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
