Who says that you can't have fun while in school? Well, at least until you're 21 (even though it never really works out like that! So, just a heads up (I am over 21 *24 to be exact*) These are just some drinks that I myself have experienced and I believe would make great majors! ENJOY!
1. Environmental Studies - The Dark and Stormy
If you're feeling lucky, the dark and stormy will make your studying not so blue and gloomy.
Things you need:
Ice cubes (duh)
1 to 2 VERY juicy limes (nice and tart)
1-ounce golden rum (Mount Gay is recommended)
6 ounce Ginger Beer (you want strong try the real sh*t go with Goya)
/2 ounces dark rum (and if you want it spiced I'd do Jager Spiced)
2. Music - TEQUILA!
Plain and simple! Whether you are playing an instrument or singing you will for sure get the confidence to do so after a few shots of tequila! DON'T FORGET THE LIME!!!! That's the best part!!!!
3. Nursing- Blue Bay (aka CODE BLUE!!!)
Ah, my all time favorite liqueur BLUE CURACAO!!!!
What you need:
1 Part blue curacao Liqueur
2 Parts bitter lemon soda (or Sprite I like Sprite)
and of course...
Ice Cubes!
4. Communications- Gin and Tonic
I know, I know it seems a little old school, however, if made right it, it packs a punch!
And to kinda give you a vivid image of what you are looking at folks here is the break down:
Place the ice cubes in a tall, somewhat narrow, chilled glass (sounds good so far right!?!) Add the gin, then the tonic water, then the lime juice (mhmm lime!), stir well. Garnish with lime wedge, and serve immediately. Like as soon as possible because it's freaking delicious!
5. Language and Linguistics- JAGER BOMBS!!!!!
You really wanna see if you can speak German or even any other language (absolutely no offense to anyone out there at all who are French just having a little fun) try Jager Bombs! They will REALLY help you enunciate your language skills! And just have some fun dropping that sucker in!
6. Electrical Engineering- THE INCREDIBLE HULK
(as provided by one of my workmates)
If you want a real shocker, have a few of these suckers
This is what you need:
1/2 oz Hennessy cognac
1/2 Hpnotiq liqueur
Yeah! That's it!!! Get ready to get LIT!
7. Spanish: Language and Literature- Margarita!
Add in a few umbrellas and you've got yourself a vacation, even if it is on/off campus! Now you can do this a few ways. If you are really looking for something instant and rather cheap then a pre-mix is for you. Now if you're down to get really fancy:
3⁄4 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice
Cointreau, triple sec or another orange liqueur (Any good liqueur at that)
1 1⁄2 oz. Blanco tequila (or for me I prefer Patron)
8. Human Development- Moonshine
Oh, man lets take Human Development back a few steps and have some moonshine! However, I would not make it illegally... The main thing that I know that I have done in the past to make it flavored is *drum roll please*:
EVERCLEAR! There several websites that you can go to get a recipe (I cannot lend out my families *secret recipe*) ha just kidding just don't know it off the top of my head!
9. Geological Sciences- The Dirty Worm Sundae
If you really want to get down and dirty this is what you do:
1 box of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
1 cup milk
1 cup Chocolate Liquor (can use Godiva Chocolate Liquor (would highly suggest because it is AHHHHHMAZING), Baileys Irish Cream, Whipped Cream Vodka)
Oreos
Gummy Worms
2 cups plain vodka
So basically let the gummy worms sit in the plain vodka in the FRIDGE (not on the counter) in the fridge (can you tell that I've made this mistake?). Then for the pudding put it into a large mixing bowl with milk and the chocolate liquor and let it sit and your set! Enjoy!
10. Art History- The Rainbow Shooter
Have you seen the drink that pours out a freaking rainbow!?!?! I have and the thing is they aren't as strong as everyone thinks! Wanna know what is in it? Pineapple juice, grenadine, vodka and blue curacao...yeah...that's it. Simple enough even an Art History major could remember it! hahaha just kidding but make sure you have the items necessary to make it!
So ladies and gents that is just the 10 that I have today...I'm sure later there will be more!
