As I've mentioned many times on this platform, I have quite a few mental health concerns. Not to mention, that sometimes, everyone just has s really bad day. So one day, I wrote a list of ten things that keep me going. Reasons to live, reasons to smile and just things that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I'm going to share my list with you and I hope it gets you thinking of little things that keep you going.

1. The Smell of Coffee

I mean obviously, I like the taste of coffee but even more, I like the smell of coffee. It makes me feel warm inside and I truly do not know what I'd do without the smell of coffee in my room and all around this campus. It truly is my favorite smell in the whole world.

2. Wearing My Hair in a Ponytail

The feeling of having my hair swinging behind me in a ponytail is truly the best. I love ponytails!! Nothing makes me feel more powerful than wearing my hair in a ponytail straight back. I can't really explain why it just does.

3. Target

Target is probably the greatest store ever. THey have cute cheap clothes, good household products, food, you name it. Anything you want and need you can get it in the one stop shop that is Target. Also, they have good sales and they give out gift cards with purchases sometimes.

4. The Sound of a Computer Mouse

Some people may be annoyed by that sound. However, I think it's adorable and it makes me feel calm and productive. Whenever I hear a computer mouse, I know that I'm getting stuff done.

5. The Stars

I love the twinkle of the stars in the night sky. I like the look of small lights brightening the night. I truly cannot think of anything better. I also love that they signify things happen farther away than I can fathom.

6. The Sound Effect of a Tinder Match

I hate tinder but the sound that it makes when you get a new match is pretty adorable to me. It's cute and promising until you remember that humans are the worst and that tinder was created by Satan himself.

7. HGTV

I love HGTV okay?! I could (and have) sat and watched just HGTV for an entire day. The shows are so good and so intriguing and everything is super relatable with the comparing different styles of houses.I love decorating as well.

8. Home Stores

I truly have a passion for interior decoration which could contribute to why I watch so much HGTV. I love the idea or decorating rooms and coordinating. It's like fashion but for your living space, which may even be better.

9. My Lava Lamp

I bought a new lava lamp yall!!! I'm super excited about it. Its so cute and calming and some night I just sit and stare at it. My lava lamp truly brings me so much joy!

10. My Mini Disco Ball

I also have a magnetic mini disco ball that is attached to my fridge and I love that as well. I turn it on when I listen to music and I just dance around in the reflection of its lights. I feel ethereal and eccentric when my disco ball is on. It's adorable.

Those are the ten things that keep me going. I hope everyone has a little list of things they live for because sometimes it truly will be the only thing that gets you through the day. That, to me is the best form of self-care: remembering what makes you happy.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
