If I could pick one television show to watch for the rest of my life it would be "How To Get Away With Murder." The show is addicting. Each episode captures you with high energy, mystery, romance, drama. Then, it ends on a cliffhanger making you need to see the next one. The show is filmed in a unique way, filming the first episode of each season with an incident in the present and then flashing back to how that incident happened, giving you more and more clues to how the murder or crime was committed.

The character of Annalise Keating keeps bringing me back for more. Viola Davis plays the perfect professor/defense attorney, and brings life to her role. Her character is brilliant, sexy, and sassy, making the perfect concoction for a successful show.

I have been binge watching seasons 1 and 2, and I have most of my friends hooked. So to start my countdown to the release of Season 3 on September 24, here are 10 Life Lessons we can learn from the main character Annalise Keating.

1. Office time is glam time.

Each outfit that Annalise wears is nothing less than fabulous. She takes her cases seriously and shows that with the way she dresses, however, she always provides a way to make her outfit stand out. Whether it be a statement necklace, a bright jacket, or a funky pair of heels, Annalise is always on her A game.

2. Always make an entrance.

No matter what your mood may be, always make an entrance or an exit. Annalise demands attention as soon as she steps in the courtroom and that is what everyone should aspire to do. Be confident going into the classroom to give that report.

That eye roll though

3. Do you boo.

On the show Annalise lies all the time. We know it, she knows it, her students know it. I'm not saying you should lie, but definitely own who you are.

4. Don't lie too much.

If you watch the show you know that even though Annalise lies it gets her deeper and deeper into trouble. Her lying in the courtroom may help her client but it does not help her personal life at all. If you lie too much it just gets out of control.

5. Let it go.

Like Annalise when she takes off her makeup and wig, let it go. Whatever has bothered you from that day let it go. Nothing should bother you for more than 24 hours. If you can't address the problem right away it's not worth it.

6. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!!!

If questioned in the court of law be clear and to the point. Do not ramble, because everything you say and do, will be used against you

7. Know everything about everybody.

Knowing your friends and enemies strengths and weaknesses, come in handier than you think. It will help you during arguments when you really want to prove your point.

8. Work the side eye.

Sometimes you have to give the side eye, and when you do make sure it is perfected. A perfect side eye should make someone feel uncomfortable so that they know what they did was wrong.

9. Listen during an argument.

Listening to the other person's side is key. You do not always need a lengthy response to get under their skin, but if you truly listen to their side like Annalise you'll be able to come up with a quick rebuttal that will rot them to their core.

10. Sometimes a drink makes a difference.

Honestly though, some people just make you need that glass of wine or glass of expensive vodka at the end of the day.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
