10 Life Lessons You Learn From Watching “Orange Is The New Black”

If you are anything like me, you have been counting down the days until season 3 of “Orange Is The New Black” was finally released on Netflix. Nothing is better than sitting down and binge watching a complete season of a good series, and OITNB does it better than most. As I was indulging in the greatness of Piper, Crazy Eyes, and the rest of the prison gang, I started thinking of some valuable life lessons you can learn from watching this show. OITNB is not only a raunchy inside look of a women’s prison, but if you listen to the messages of the episodes you can learn some things too. Here they are

1) Hold on to the simple, little pleasures in life.

2) Don’t dress for the job you have, but dress for the job you want.

3) Poultry may or may not have magical powers.

4) Always be clear with your hairdresser

5) It’s important to not over react in certain situations.

6) Don't sign your daughter up for a reality TV show.

7) Proper grammar is a necessity.

8) Never forget the things a true friend will do for you.

9) Sometimes you just need a good cry.

10) Everyone makes bad choices sometimes.
