Disney isn't just a company made to give you another fantasy land to live in; it's a company that teaches you something within this wonderful world they've created for their audience. Among the countless stories they've created and told these are some of the lessons I have loved and think every Disney fan, old and young, should know.

1. Belle.

Beauty is found within someone, not what you see on the outside.

2. Peter Pan.

While you may be growing older with time; it doesn't mean you have to grow up. No matter what age you are it is important to embrace the child in you.

3. Merida.

Your fate lives within you; it's up to you to be brave enough to see it and achieve it.

4. Lilo.

Family isn't defined by blood; it is defined by love and acceptance.

5. Hercules.

You are your own hero, and in order to achieve greatness, you have to work hard and have a good support system.

6. Snow White.

There is goodness in everyone if you just believe in the ability to find it.

7. Pinocchio.

Lying doesn't get you anywhere; honestly is the best policy for everyone.

8. Cinderella.

Having a positive attitude even in the darkest situation can bring you the happiest of lives.

9. Rafiki.

The past is the past, and it is up to you to decide whether or not you want it to define you or change yourself for the better.

10. Dumbo.

What makes you different doesn't make you an outcast; it makes you an individual.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
