Sometimes we as humans need hacks to speed things along or make life a little better. These ten life hacks are some that I'm sure will bring you a bit of joy.

1.) Runaway Cats!

Did Mittens get out? If so, put the little guy's litter box on the porch. Cats have a great sense of smell, so Mittens will be able to sniff out his poo and find home!

2.) Pesky Charging Cables!

Find yourself often infuriated by your charging cable breaking? Finally tired of spending money on a new charger? Take the spring out of an old pen and apply it to your charger at the top. Boom! Problem Solved!

3.) Headaches Be Gone

Cut a lime in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing should start to go away!

4.) Paper Cuts Suck.

Stop the pain of a paper cut by applying chaptstick. The pain will almost immediately stop.

5.) Bad Breath Stinks!

To check how bad your breath really is, lick your wrist and smell it. It will let you know how offensive or non offensive your breath has been to everyone else.

6.) Broken Shells

If you have issues with your crunchy taco shells breaking, wrap a soft tortilla around it. It helps keep the taco together, and if you want added flavor you can put a thin layer of beans and/or cheese between them.

7.) Fresh Day Old Pizza

Wanna keep the crust from being chewy while you microwave it? Put a small amount of water in a glass while you heat it up.

8.) Burning Calories With No Effort

Before bed eat a spoonful of peanut butter. It will help burn calories while you sleep.

9.) Cake or cookie?

Have a cake mix, but you want cookie? Add two eggs and 1/2 a cup of oil, and BAM! Cookies!

10.) You're Welcome

We all get a song stuck in your head. More often then not, we don't remember the name of the song. If you go to google and enter the lyrics you remember, google should provide you with the song title and artist. No more time wasted in racking your brain for a song title.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
