If you haven’t watched "One Tree Hill," then you aren’t living your life. "One Tree Hill" is one of the best shows that leaves you in love and emotionally invested in the characters. Don’t judge me, but I might have watched it two times through and still love watching episodes with my roommate. When a show heals the heart and can make your day better, why not? Here are 10 life lessons that I have learned by watching One Tree Hill.

1.People always leave.

But sometimes they come back, right?

2.Love does exist.

Whether you have had sucky relationships or bad experiences, you have to admit that Haley James Scott and Nathan Scott are the most perfect couple, and their relationship is all you want.

3. The journey is the destination.

Whether your ultimate goal is to get a degree or a job, start a family, travel the world, or own 15 dogs, do whatever works for you. "One Tree Hill" makes you realize that one day you will get there, but the most important moments consist of what you went through and what got you to that moment.

4. Your friendships are worth fighting for.

No matter what, your friends have your back because they're the only ones that really ever have it in the end.

5. "One day you're seventeen and planning for someday. And then quietly, without you ever really noticing, someday is today and then someday is yesterday and this is your life."

Time is completely flying by. Make the most of absolutely everything.

6. Be yourself.

Whatever you freaking do, just be yourself because if not, you won't ever be happy.

7. "At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes…all you need is one."

I can't express this enough: find that one. It can be your best friend, your soulmate or whoever you want, but who doesn't love getting to experience life with someone who cares and supports them 100 percent?

8. Don't ever take things for granted.

Pay attention to what people do for you, how they help you, and how you treat people because if you don't appreciate it, one day you will push them too far and they won't ever come back.

9. Sometimes we feel too many emotions at once.

I don't even need to explain this to you, because you know this feeling and it sucks, but when this does happen, go cuddle with your dog. It'll help.

10. Through all the hardships in life, you will make it through it all.

No matter what, you will get through it -- the breakup, the lost friendship, that college class -- move on and find the person that you are supposed to be. You only live this life once so make the best of it.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
