1. Door decorations and bulletin boards can be fun, but also can be the bane of your existence.

2. Programs are always successful when you offer free food.

3. You are always going to have the one resident who will try his/her best to avoid you. It is inevitable. Try your best.

4. Your residents are some of the most amazing people in your life (whether you realize it now or later).

5. Residents will always catch you in your towel on your way to the bathroom. Confrontations will become less awkward with time.

6. Glitter is the STD of crafting. It will spread everywhere. Avoid at all costs.

7. Your hall staff will become your family. You may not get along with everyone, but you will learn to love/rely on all of them.

8. Your hall director is the coolest person ever.

9. Ice cream will always help your residents when exam season comes around.

10. Catching residents doing illegal things isn't as scary as it seems.
