Keegan Michael-Key and Jordan Peele are two comedians that brought their minds together to make some pretty great sketches during their run in the "Key and Peele" show. But which ones are the funniest? In my opinion, these 10 are the cream of the crop.
1. "Substitute Teacher"
All I can say about this is... YA DONE MESSED UP A-A-RON! I have a t-shirt with these words on it and I'm not ashamed to admit it because this sketch is comedy gold. In this sketch, Key plays a substitute teacher that used to teach in the inner city. And because of this, it affects how he calls attendance. How? Well, you'll just have to see it for yourself.
2. "East/West Bowl"
Meet the players in the East vs West College Football Bowl. Now you might not know some of these names... or all of them... or know how to say them. But the players will be sure to give you a nice introduction.
3. "Les Mis"
Maaaaaan. Both Key and Peele have got some pipes. And it's evident in this sketch that shows Key, Peele, and other actors reinacting a scene from the famous musical "Les Miserables."
4. "Dubstep"
Remember when dubstep was popular? I hardly do but it was at one time and Key and Peele both took advantage of this trend as Peele likes dubstep in the sketch and he's trying to turn Key onto it.
5. "Gay Wedding Advice"
Well this one is hilarious no matter what your sexual preference is. Key plays a gay man that is brought in to dismantle any gay stereotypes that a family has about gay weddings. Contrary to the belief of the family, gay hymns do not exist and Neil Patrick Harris does not show up to every gay wedding.
6. "Mexican Standoff"
This takes a classic Mexican standoff seen in movies and completely makes it hilarious, tense, and weird all at once. Double agents, secret snipers, drones, etc. can all be found in this sketch.
7. "High on Potenuse"
Ever told a joke that someone laughed at and then someone says it louder and takes all the credit? Well, that is basically the concept of this sketch as Key takes credit for a joke told by Peele and gets national recognition for the joke.
8. "Pizza Order"
In this sketch, Key portrays an employee at a pizza restaurant and Peele portrays a loser with seemingly no friends. Peele orders a pizza and makes it seem like he has a lot of people over, including his ex-girlfriend that has a body that is a 10. Key asks to speak with her aaaaand... that's all I'll give away. Just go watch it yourself.
9. "Retired Military Specialist"
Peele portrays a war veteran that is confronted by Key who requests the veteran for a special assignment. Peele assumes that Key wants him for combat but Key is just looking for recommendations for a new war hero that will be better than Peele. What happens in the sketch after that is comedy gold.
10. "Gay Gangster Fight"
In this sketch, Key and Peele play two gangsters who get into a fight because Peele didn't skip town when Key told him to. What happens next will have you gasping for air.
Key and Peele have gone on to do their own things but their legacy they left behind in this show is so phenomenal tat generations to come will laugh at two guys just acting silly in some sketches.
