Every group of friends has moments when everyone is stumped by the question, "What should we do?" This list provides some excellent answers to this question that every friend can enjoy without needing too much money!
1. Have a movie night.
Ask each of your friends to suggest or bring a movie they would want to watch, then watch as many as you can. If you don't have time for everyone's movie, make it a weekly event until every movie is watched. This works well with TV shows as well!
2. Watch the sunset.
You can do this anywhere! Go on a nice drive, head to the beach or hike up a mountain for the best view.
3. Have a game night.
Pick out some games to play and have everyone play the same game at once or have several games going at the same time. To make it even more exciting, the games can be played tournament style.
4. Watercolor.
Painting can be hours of fun for a low price, and the paints and paint brushes can be used over and over again. Get creative and see what you and your friends can come up with!
5. Make a friendship playlist.
Think of songs that you and your friends listen to together and compile them all into one playlist. Car rides together will become even more fun when you can all belt out your favorite songs together.
6. Have a picnic.
Go to your local park and have a fun lunch outside on a picnic blanket. Everyone can either bring food from home or pick a sandwich up on the way over.
7. Go to Target.
You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a fun time at Target! There is so much to explore - including the clearance clothes and the $5 and under section. You could even pick up some toothpaste while you're there or some milk for your mom.
8. Have a clothes swap.
Ask all of your friends to try cleaning out their closets, once everyone has gone through and picked out the clothes they don't want have everyone get together. After making room for some new items everyone can look through the clothes to add some new items to their wardrobe for free.
9. Volunteer.
Every community has plenty of unique volunteer opportunities available. Some ideas of places to start could be animal shelters, local summer camps or soup kitchens. Volunteering is a positive way to spend your time and does not cost you a penny, and getting friends in on it too makes it that much better!
10. Perfect a recipe.
Whether it's chocolate chip cookies or chicken Parmesan, start with a simple recipe or one that you've made before and try it again and add some of your own flare to it. Put in some cinnamon or make a special sauce and see how it tastes. Every time may not be a success, but that's part of learning what will really make it the best!
