Tomorrow morning I plan to wake up bright and early -- I'm going to paint a mural.

I've been mulling it over for a few months now, wondering what to paint, how big, and on which wall of my apartment. I finally got my act together and bought paint. I've got rollers, brushes, and a sketchbook with a solid idea. I'm sure I'll post updates once it's finished, but before I do, I wanted to share some striking pictures I found along the way that helped inspire me to come up with something original.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
