There's a unique kind of excitement that arises when a person who was growing up in the early 2000s comes across a particular movie from their childhood. We're convinced that they just don't make 'em like they used to and insist that the early movies are some of the best out there. Well in no particular order, I present to you 10 of the most iconic movies of the early 2000s.
1. High School Musical (2006)
If you try and tell me you haven't screamed the words to at least one of these songs, you must be lying. This movie sent every preteen girl on a mission to find the Troy to her Gabriella.
2. The Incredibles (2004)
Rumors of a sequel to this movie have been flying around for years, but until I see actual proof I'll settle for re-watching this family of superheroes defeat bad guys.
3. The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)
This movie is what dreams are made of, and if you don't get that reference, go watch this movie!
4. A Cinderella Story (2004)
Chad Michael Murray was absolutely swoon-worthy in this hit starring Hilary Duff.
5. Ice Age (2002)
Let's be honest, we were all rooting for Scrat to finally get ahold of that acorn.
6. Monsters Inc. (2001)
The number of teenagers and young adults who went and saw Monsters University speaks volumes for the movie that inspired it.
