Call me a "basic white girl," but it's hard to resist a cool, refreshing Starbucks pick-me-up on a hot summer day...

1. Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher

A berry-licious mixture with fresh blackberries, juice, and green coffee extract over ice!

2. Strawberry Acai Refresher (add soy milk, and you have the infamous pink drink!)

The perfect combo of strawberry, passionfruit, and acai flavors!

3. Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato

Espresso + almond milk + cinnamon dolce syrup + caramel drizzle = Flavors of a caffeinated Cinnabon!

4. Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade

One of my faves! So refreshing, but not overwhelming if you want to skip out on that caffeine boost!

5. Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino

This one is dedicated to the anti-unicorn-frap-chocolate-lover. Tastes just like everyone's favorite Girl Scout cookie (the Thin Mint, of course)!

6. S'mores Frappuccino

The "no campfire needed" combo of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow flavors. Make it extra special by ordering with a cookie straw!

7. Teavana Shaken Berry Sangria Herbal Tea

Your favorite summer cocktail minus the alcohol, so you can drink it on the road this summer!

8. Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato

Coconut milk, white chocolate mocha, and of course...the espresso! Poured over ice. Those flavors sound like a match made in heaven!

9. Toasted Coconut Cold Brew

Keeping with the coconut theme, this is the perfect cold brew to put you in the staycation state of mind, lightly sweetened with toasted coconut and honey flavors + a splash of coconut milk to top it off!

10. Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

For the non-chocolate lover, this cold brew is topped with house-made vanilla sweet cream that you can swirl around your cup with your green straw!

Consider this your Starbucks summer bucket list! It's the perfect time to treat yourself!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
