Sometimes hygiene can be a weird topic to talk about. I hope this article helps educate you and also helps you change the things that need to be changed. Remember your hygiene needs to be put first before anything, so take time and understand your basic needs.

1. Apple cider vinegar is useful

Giphy

If your Ph balance is off then apple cider vinegar will useful to you. Just add a cup of ACV to your warm bath water and sit for 15 mins. Try doing this once a week until you see results.

2. Shaving can sometimes be extreme.

Giphy

When it comes to shaving areas such as your lady parts it is very important that you are not shaving every day, at least wait a week to shave again. The hair on your lady parts are important, it's there to help protect your lady parts.

Also, make sure you shave at a horizontal angle and not a vertical angle.

3. Just get a candle and go!

Giphy

PLEASE DO NOT wash your lady parts with Bath and Body Works body soap. You are hurting your Ph balance. You can wash the rest of your body with the soap but when it comes to your private parts don't use it.

4. It is normal, don't worry.

Giphy

Ladies, do not let social media fool you ok? Discharge is NORMAL! That means that your Ph is balanced.

Always pay attention to the color of your discharge. The best thing you can do when you notice discharge in your underwear is to wash up down there, change your underwear, and keep on about your day.

5. Point, blank, period.

Giphy

We all go through periods. Please make sure you are changing your pads or tampons throughout the day. If you're not then bacteria can start to build up and cause problems.

6. It has one job!

Giphy

This goes along with the whole soap thing but just remember do not use harsh soaps on your lady parts. Your private area knows how to clean itself, that it's job.

I'm not saying to not use soap but just not soaps that you know are harsh.

7. Google is not a doctor.

Giphy

If you notice a smell is coming from you, or notice certain changes in your body, it is best to just call your doctor.

Don't spend time looking up symptoms, because then you'll probably end up thinking worse. Just call your doctor, that's always best.

8. Let us not forget.

Giphy

Don't forget hygiene also means keeping up with your appearance. Trust me I want to walk around in sweatpants and Uggs all day but sometimes that's not always ok.

Once in a while get dressed up, do your hair, even if you are just going to the store, it'll make you feel good about yourself.

9. Watch what you eat.

Giphy

The foods you eat and drinks you drink do have an effect on your hygiene. If you are eating unhealthy, chance are that has an effect on different smells you may be smelling or changes in the body.

10. Simple.

Giphy

Lastly, just take care of yourself. Take showers, take care of your body, care about how you smell or look.

Don't be that person who doesn't keep up with themselves. Keeping up with your hygiene should be very important to you.

Ladies, when it comes to taking care of ourselves we always have to be one step ahead. Just make sure you are taking care of yourself and understand your body.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
