It’s the most wonderful time of the year to snuggle up on the sofa and have a Christmas movie marathon. Here are 10 holiday movies that you need to watch over Christmas break. Some of them are classic that you have probably seen 100 times while others are brand new to your eyes.

1. Elf

Is it even Christmas time if you haven’t seen Elf at least a dozen times. I mean who doesn’t say along “Buddy The Elf, what’s your favorite color” when he says it or scream “Santa! I know him, I know him”?

2. Dr Sesus’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Everyone loves good ole Grinch. You can’t go wrong with this timeless classic. Probably one of Jim Carrey’s best roles.

3. Love Actually

This might not be your typical Christmas movie but it is definitely worth the watch. Warning: If you haven’t seen this movie before I don’t recommend you to watch it with kids.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I love that this movie is not only appropriate to watch during Christmas but also Halloween. It's the best of both worlds.

5. A Christmas Story

Okay, this is THE Christmas classic. You have no excuse for not watching this movie because TBS literally plays it all day long on Christmas day. You have 24 hours to watch it.

6. The Holiday

Another romance movie to grace your marathon. This is just one of those feel good movies. What’s better than a movie about Christmas? A movie where people fall in love in Christmas time.

7. Home Alone

In theory one would love to be alone, away from the mess and craziness that the Holidays bring into our lives but in reality what is Christmas without your family.

8. The Polar Express

*Tears up because the boy’s parents couldn’t hear the bells anymore which means that they didn’t believe.*

9. The Santa Claus

In theory it would be so cool if your dad ended up being Santa. If you watch the first one you’re probably going to end up watching all 3.

10. The Family Stone

I love movies that have a dysfunctional family who have so much drama and nonsense surrounding them through the holidays. The one where the family fights but end up making up and having a great Christmas. They remind me of my family.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
