We all remember some of the best hit songs throughout the 2000s. I remember being 12 and listening to my favorite Top 40 station tune. However, there may be some other great hits during this decade that you may have forgotten. They didn't make it to number one on the billboard charts but once you hear them, they will take you back BIG TIME.
1. 2010: Usher- "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" (feat. Pitbull)
This was played at EVERY sweet sixteen and was a hit every time!
2. 2009: IYAZ- "Replay"
I was obsessed with this song when it came out! I wish that IYAZ was still around to fill up my music library some more.
3. 2008: Metro Station- "Shake It"
One hit wonder? Yup, but hey those are usually the best songs amirite?! Who could forget this one?
4. 2007: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus- "Face Down"
Screamo for the radio, this song cut you deep and channeled every angry emotion in your body LOL!
5. 2006: Nick Lachey- "What's Left Of Me"
All the feels! This was the ultimate heartbreak song of 2006, you couldn't help but feel Nick's pain with him on this musical journey.
6. 2005: Tim McGraw & Nelly- "Over and Over"
The most surprising duo in my opinion, but it works! This catchy tune never left your head!
7. 2004: Ashlee Simpson- "Pieces of Me"
This is the ultimate throwback, pretty sure everyone that had Hit Clips had this song for it! I mean c'mon it's Ashlee Simpson!
8. 2003: Ja Rule ft. Ashanti- "Mesmerize"
Believe it or not, the top 40 stations played real R&B at one point! This is one of my favorites, and it's the most nostalgic for me.
9. 2002: Trapt- "Headstrong"
Another rock jam that was also one you could scream sing without getting in trouble for being too loud because hey, they're doing it too!
10. 2001: Kylie Minogue- "Can't Get You Out of My Head"
The iconic intro of this song was the soundtrack of my grade school self. I was constantly dancing around in my room to this one!
