Having a new puppy is actually the best thing that will ever happen to you, but unfortunately, puppies don't stay puppies forever.
1. The first time you see him/her, you fall in love.
You've just never felt this way before. You now know how your friends feel when they see the boy that they like except this love will last forever and their love will last a week or two probably.
2. You realize that you have to leave your puppy to go back to school and work and adult things.
And you have to leave your poor sweet puppy home alone. He's going to be so sad waiting for you to come home so he'll probably destroy something to pass the time.
3. When you finally have finished your day and you get to go home to your furry child,
And now you get to play and run around with your new bff.
4. Your phone is constantly running out of storage because you take so many cute pics and videos of things like this
It is totally 100 percent acceptable to have a 10 minute Snapchat story when you have a puppy.
5. The first realization you have is that having a puppy is actually extremely exhausting.
This is basically like having two full time jobs.
6. The second realization you have is that this will be exactly like having a children, but the children will be so much worse.
Don't get me wrong, kids are pretty cool and they're all a treasure, but they're also tiny people and you will be responsible for their well-being and their future and that is terrifying.
7. But at least, having a puppy will prepare you for having a child.
Because now you won't be as grossed out by cleaning up someone else's bodily fluids and feces. I didn't say you won't be grossed out, but you'll be less grossed out.
8. You go a little bit crazy buying things for your new furry friend
Yes, he does need six tennis balls, eight chew toys, three different types of treats, two dog beds, and multiple collars and leashes.
9. You become a human chew toy.
Why must you chew on me and the not the five billion toys that I bought for you?
10. You realize that the little puppy that you brought home is now a full grown dog.
And now your pup sort of boring and takes a lot of naps, but that's perfectly fine because your furry friend is still the same adorable puppy in your eyes. And it's an added bonus that you are no longer a human chew toy and always have a napping partner.
