10 "Grey's Anatomy" Quotes That Remind Us To Never Give Up

I'm sure there's at least a dozen of you out there who have watched "Grey's Anatomy" beginning to end and maybe even over again. If there's ever a time you feel like you've hit rock bottom and just want to give up, here are 10 quotes from "Grey's Anatomy" that I'm sure we can all relate to.

1. "I am a human being. I make mistakes. I am flawed. We all are."

Sometimes it's really hard to except our flaws and we bash ourselves for not being that perfect person who does everything right. It's important for us to start realizing that we are human, we make mistakes and we are flawed, but it's OK.

2. "Sometimes things are simply out of your control. You can't change them. You can't bend them to your will."

Let go and let God. It's easy to blame ourselves for something completely out of our control. We need to learn that things happen for a reason and we have to accept that we can't change the inevitable.

3. "The human life is made of choices. Yes or no. In or out. And then there are the choices that matter. Love or hate. To be a hero or to be a coward. To fight or give in. To live. Or die. Live or die. That's the important choice. And it's not always in our hands."

We need to stop living in fear and live in the moment. We need to live our lives to the fullest and appreciate what we have right in front of us.

4. "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature."

Chase after your dreams and never give up. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't do something -- prove them wrong.

5. "Sometimes it's good to be scared. It means you still have something to lose."

Most of us walk around acting tough when really, we're not OK and we're scared. It's OK not to be OK. It's OK to be scared and hold on.

6. "At some point you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them."

Push yourself beyond your limits. Dare to be different and never let boundaries define you.

7. "All you can do is be brave and get out there. You fought. You loved. You lost. Walk tall."

You may feel like you have given everything you possibly could have, but don't give up. Stand tall and be proud, get back out there and experience new things.

8. "Everyone needs help from time to time. Someone to look out for them. Make sure they're OK."

Many people feel that by asking for help, it ruins their ego or reputation but that's not true. It's OK to ask for help and have someone to lean on in times of need.

9. "Knowing is better than wondering, walking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, the worst, beats the hell out of never trying."

If you never try, you'll never know. The worst that can happen is that you fail and get back up on your feet to try again.

10. "The expected is just what keeps us steady, standing, still. The expected is just the beginning. The unexpected is what changes our lives."

Be prepared for what's to come. You never know when life is going to throw a curve ball at you, so it's important to expect the unexpected and be ready for life-changing events.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
