10 Gifts Your Girl ACTUALLY Wants This Valentine’s Day

If you're in a new relationship, it can be hard to judge what to do for a significant other to show you care. Here are some hints, for you lost college boys, on what to get you girl to make her fall for you.

1. CHOCOLATE (Obviously)

A favorite. It is no myth. That red box of wonderful is something we look forward to all year. If you don’t get us one, we’ll get it for ourselves (or we might get another for ourselves anyway).

2. Pizza.

Pizza is amazing and honestly a perfect food for just chilling and cuddling, watching a movie. Get it in a heart shape, or write something cute on the inside of the box. A guaranteed win. (Unless of course she doesn’t like pizza, then you have a bigger problem on your hands.)

3. Chicken nuggets.

I don’t know how others might feel on the subject, but I can tell you if a man showed up on my doorstep with a 10 piece and some fries, I would make him mine forever.

4. Coupons for cute things you can do for her.

Ok let's try to move away from food (this is hard).

You should always do cute things for her, but for this coupon book make them things you don't like doing but she does. Listening to a certain kind of music, watching a certain movie that she likes and you don’t, or even eating a certain kind of food. It will make her laugh and it will be obvious you care enough to do those things for her.

5. Jewelry.

The rumors are true, diamonds are a girl's best friend. Alright, you don’t have to get her diamonds but get her something cute that she will want to wear so she can brag about you and think about you all day.

6. Tickets to something you can do together.

With any kind of mutual interest you can jump on the winning wagon with this idea. A movie, a museum, a concert, an aquarium. The most romantic thing you can do is plan something fun to go to together that you both will love.

7. Something that reminds her of a memory you two have shared.

Whether it be a picture, a souvenir, or an item you found on Amazon from a movie you both love, this will be super sentimental and she will treasure that item as it will remind her of how much you care about your time together.

8. A romantic meal.

Simple. Take her somewhere nice for this day, or make it super romantic and cozy at home. Either way make her feel pampered and like a princess.

9. A cute, thoughtful card.

Write a message from the heart. Doesn't matter if you bought or made the card or if it is in the form of a song or poem. Write something down that you can read to her so she knows that you thought a lot about her and you feeling for her. It will make her heart flutter.

10. Time spent with you!

Honestly as long as you simply take time out of your day to spend undistracted and meaningful hours with you girlfriend on Valentine's Day, she will be happy. (However, it is my recommendation to bring food!)

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
