Some say I have an old soul and sometimes, I agree; but never more than when someone asks who my celebrity crush is. Most girls my age would say Justin Bieber or Drake, but my one true answer will always be Deputy Barney Fife. A lot of you may read this and wander what on earth I am thinking? My crush is a fictional character from a 56 year old TV show. So, I put together a list of why I am so in love with Barney Fife, along with some GIFs to enhance your day.

1. The iconic messy hair.

Time after time, on "The Andy Griffith Show", Deputy Fife gets stressed or frustrated and he'll frantically run his fingers through his hair. How could you not love that man? *heart eyes*

2. Total stud...

All throughout the show, Fife was winning hearts whether it be Thelma Lou's, Juanita, the "fun girls" or even my own. He stole many a heart in just 249 episodes.

3. The over confidence

Fife is VERY confident with his gun, which is not fitting, of course. He is only allowed one bullet. Also, we cannot forget the several times where he almost shoots his own feet.

4. The next American Idol

He is convinced that he is "the song bird of his generation" (impromptu "Step Brothers" reference); which proves time and time again to be incorrect when he sings for Andy or his other friends.

5. "He's a nut."

Not sure this really counts as one of my reasons that I am in love with him... but it is favorite Barney Fife line.

6. He is so good with kids...

...watch the above GIF and take the heading as literally or sarcastically as you wish.

7. The Diner is now my dream date.

All of his romantic escapades include a dinner at the Diner, so now all I want is for a deputy sheriff to ask me to the diner and buy me the special of the day.

8. He knows all of the facts.

Fife could be telling you about citizen's arrest or giraffes, but you can be SURE that h is telling you every thing you need to know and that he definitely knows what he is talking about.

9. When you're with Fife, you're safe.

He'll keep you safe no matter if you're in small town Mayberry or big city Mt. Pilot. He, along with his one bullet, will keep you safe.

10. He's a good lover and an even better friend.

Fife is always looking out for Andy, and they always say, "You gotta watch how a man treats his mama and his friends."

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
