The mid-semester slump has arrived and as my boyfriend so kindly pointed out earlier today it is officially GPA awareness season. Which can only mean the stress is about to get real. All you really want to do is crawl back into bed and take another nap but you know you should be a responsible human being and go study instead. A breakdown is inevitable, and if there's anything that can make life a little better, even for a few minutes its looking at adorable animals. Trust me, I have an entire file full of them just for days like this. So since we're all about to be in the same boat, I figured I'd share a few of my favorites with you.

1. Look at this little guy, he knows you can do it.

2. Just look at her little yawn.

3. This little guy reminding you that life could be worse, you could be stuck in a giant bowl.

4. My goal in life is to be as happy as this seal

5. Did you know how cute pandas are?

6. I don't know about you but I need this bucket of puppies in my life.

7. If they can make it to the gym, so can you.

8. We all just need a nap every now and then.

9. If this little guy can eat this berry, you can bring that C up to a B.

10. When all else fails, just remember that Thanksgiving break is right around the corner.

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
