We all have that one person in our lives whom we hold very dear to our hearts. After so long, we no longer consider that person our friend. Instead, we consider them ourfamily. That person has been there for you through both the good and the bad, and has been the one to pick you up when you are down. No matter how many times life tries to get in the way, remember how lucky you really are to have this person in your life. Here are 10 facts that I'm sure apply to everyone.

1. The day you met her, you just knew that she was the one.

It didn't take you very long to figure out this person was YOUR person. When you met them, you knew that they were the one within a matter of minutes.

2. She knows you better than you know yourself.

Your best friend can look at you and know within a few seconds if something amazing just happened or if something horrible just happened. They just know.

3. At times, it feels as if she is the only thing keeping you afloat.

When everything seems like it's going wrong, your best friend will be there to let you know everything is going to be okay. You might not believe it at the time, but just hearing her say those words will give you a feeling of comfort like no other.

4. She will tell you not what you want to hear, but what you need to hear.

Your best friend will tell you that the dress you just waited three weeks for looks terrible, no matter how upset she knows you will be when she says it. She will also tell you if the guy that you are head over heels in love with doesn't deserve you. She only wants the best for her best friend.

5. You guys tell each other everything before you tell anyone else. There are no exceptions.

It doesn't matter if it is the new job you just landed, or the grade you just got on your paper; she is the first person you tell.

6. You always will miss her, and she will always miss you.

Even if you have been with her for two days straight, you will miss her when she leaves, and she will miss you, obviously.

7. Breaking the "hoes before bros" rule is not even a remote possibility.

If your ex was the last person on the planet, your best friend would rather be alone for the rest of her life than be with him.

8. They will have your back on everything.

Even if they don't really have an opinion on it, they will act like they do because they love you that much.

9. She is excited when you are excited.

It doesn't matter if you finally got the class on your watch list that you wanted or if you just got a new pair of shoes, if you're happy, then she's happy.

10. She has been your person from day one, and that will always be the case.

From that day you met in the library in the 6th grade until now, being your person will always be one of her full-time jobs, no matter what.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
