10 Funk/Disco Songs You've Never Heard of But Should Listen to Right Now

With breakout hits like "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, it seems that disco and funk might be making a comeback. This is something that I am extremely excited about, seeing as how I'm a huge fan of both genres. Whenever I'm in a slump or just wanting something funky to drive to, I immediately look for my custom tracks featuring some of the best that funk and disco have to offer. For those of you who haven't dialed back their music tastes to a time when jump suits and big ole medallions were cool, come and take a trip with me as I count down some of my favorite funk/disco pieces from the 70s and 80s.

10. "(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again"-L.T.D.

9. "Pick Up The Pieces"-Average White Band

8. "I'm Coming Out"-Diana Ross

7. "Across 110th Street"-Bobby Womack

6. "Strawberry Letter 23"-The Brothers Johnson

5. "Standing On The Verge of Getting It On"-Funkadelic

4. "Flashlight"-Parliament

3. "Get Down On It"-Kool & The Gang

2. "And The Beat Goes On"-The Whispers

1. "Couldn't Get It Right"-Climax Blues Band

What did you think of the list? Can you dig it? Did I miss one of your favorite songs? Let me know. You could even list some of your favorite funk/disco hits when you share this to all of your friends!
