I know, I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but there are so many fun things to do your calendar is going to fill up fast! So take a look at the following and update your calendars before they get too full for these 10 awesome ways to ring in the season.

1. The Children's Christmas Parade

Join Children's Healthcare as they turn midtown into a Christmas Wonderland on December 3rd. This year's parade will be extra special because Children's is celebrating their 100th anniversary! Bring your blankets and folding chairs and set up early on the route or you can even reserve bleacher seats to make sure you have the best view in the city! 2. Lighting of Atlantic Station

Year after year this event is always a family favorite! Join the community on November 19th to welcome the holiday season with the lighting of Atlantic Station. This event comes with all of the ingredients to a successful holiday recipe. There is a tree lighting, hot coco, music, Santa and fireworks! Find out more on the Atlantic Station website.

3. The Rock Ranch Drive Thru Lights

Head on down a little south of Atlanta to the Rock Ranch to drive through their Country Christmas Lights display. This show was founded by The Rock Ranch and the founder of Chick-Fil-A after purchasing lights at Lowes after Christmas! The lights are free from Thurs., Nov. 24 – Wed., Nov. 30. 4. Christmas In Castille

If you are in the mood to take your hot chocolate on the road, go park and watch this incredible show dance to your favorite Holiday tunes! The family decks the halls to the max weather permitting from December 1-24, Thursdays- Saturday in Alpharetta, GA. You can check out their website for the address and time details.

5. Holiday Concerts at The Shops at Buckhead

Throughout the holiday season there will be multiple free concerts at the Shops at Buckhead! Not only can you get all of your holiday shopping done, you can enjoy the lights and decorations as it gets dark. Bring a blanket and sit on the lawn as you enjoy complementary hot chocolate and live music. This happens intermittently through November and December. All of the details can be found online! Pick a concert and enjoy!

6. Back to Nature Holiday Market

Check out the gorgeous homemade goods and crafts at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's Holiday Market on December 3rd. Sip on your hot cocoa and browse the grounds or get some great gift ideas for the whole family from the many artisan craftsmen booths set up in the Holiday Market.

7. Dahlonega's Hometown Christmas

Head on up north to Dahlonega to experience a traditional hometown Christmas. On December 3rd there is everything from a Christmas Market, a Christmas hometown parade and a tree lighting. Top it all off with some live music and hot cocoa and you have yourself a lovely holiday cup of cheer! Check out Dahlonega's Christmas blog to learn about all of their events in December!

8. Tour the Governor's Mansion

Head on down to take a tour of the Governor's mansion all done up for the holidays. The grand tree lighting will take place on December 4th and tours will be taking place until December 16th. Not only will it be beautiful but you just might learn something about your local government too!


9. Deck the Hall

Head on down to Duluth's downtown for a tree lighting extravaganza! There will be live entertainment, crafts, the polar express and more! The best part is that it is free! Head on over to their website to learn how much fun you can have at this event!

10. Holiday Glow in the Corners Parade

Come one and all to the Glow in the Corners Parade on November 26th! The parade starts its route at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church at 4:30pm and will go up to Peachtree Corners Circle and into the Forum. It will be followed by the Forum's tree lighting ceremony!
