Now that the stress of finals and the chaos of the end of the semester has come to an end, it's finally time for Christmas. Break out the tree, string the lights, and throw on an ugly sweater because it's time to get festive. Sure baking gingerbread cookies and wrapping presents may put you in a Christmassy mood, there's nothing that can get you into the holiday spirit better than a few Christmas jams. So here's a list of what I think are the top 10 Christmas songs.
1. "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Kelly Clarkson and Ronnie Dunn
This song's just a classic. And it makes me want to watch "Elf." It's impossible to listen to this and not want to sing along.
2. "Merry Christmas Everyone" by Shakin' Stevens
3. "White Christmas" by Michael Buble
This is by far the best version of this song I've ever heard. 10/10 would recommend.
4. 'Oh Santa!" by Mariah Carey
This song is SO fun to dance to! It's very upbeat and exciting! Definitely gets you ready for the holiday.
5. "Santa Baby" by Kylie Minogue
Another classic. Self explanatory.
6. "The 12 Days of Christmas" by Straight No Chaser
This isn't your ordinary version of the 12 days we all know so well. Straight No Chaser is an acapella group that makes this holiday classic into something even more fabulous while adding some comedy in the mix. If you haven't heard it yet, go listen to it NOW!
7. "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Michael Buble
I love this song and Michael Buble way to much to not include it on the list.
8. "Santa Tell Me"' by Ariana Grande
The addition of this song onto the list may make me sound like a basic white girl, but its a darn good festive song.
9. "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber
Another basic song, I know. But it's every girl's dream and a very catchy song.
10. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey
Yes it's overplayed, but it wouldn't be Christmas without this song.
So grab some eggnog, sit back by the fireplace, and let these songs put you in a holly jolly mood.
