I'm really good at avoiding love at all costs. There have been a couple times where I thought it might be worth it, that it might work out, but I was wrong. I avoid romantic comedies at all cost. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Nicholas Sparks movie. I just have never been the kind of person to want to sit in something as unrealistic as that. If I want unrealistic, I'll sit through two hours of looking at Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner in Marvel movies.

But I found the one romantic movie that I can watch any day, multiple times a day and not hate everything about it. Why? Because "Stuck in Love" is realistic. One of the main characters, Sam, is basically me. I've never related to a fictional character like her. When she meets Lou, everything changes. I cried the first time I realized that was happening to me.

This movie really changed the way I look at life and love, for better and worse. I could go on about how much I love Samantha or how I can relate to the struggles of being a writer, but instead, I'll share my favorite quotes which say more than I ever will.

1. "I remember that it hurt, looking at her hurt." - Rusty Borgens

This is the opening line. To care that much about someone that you don't know, it's really... stupid.

2. "You make me feel less cynical." - Samantha Borgens

Samantha meets Lou in a bar. She eventually gives him a chance and what happens? She falls for him, going against everything she stands for. I'm pretty sure I recently said this to someone, because he was my Lou.

3. "Just avoid love at all costs. That's my motto." - Samantha Borgens

This is my twitter bio. I've always been that way and it's looking like I always will be.

4. "My biggest mistake was thinking you could fix me. Only I can fix me." - Kate

There's a lot of people in this world that think someone else can fix them. At one point, I was one of them.

5. "This isn't just a CD... It's a roadmap to my soul." - Kate

We all have a playlist that can describe every piece of us, even if it's just our favorite songs.

6. "There are two kinds of people in this world: hopeless romantics and realists." - Samantha Borgens

Except the realists are called cynical.

7. Samantha: "I don't wanna get hurt." Lou: "I'm not going to hurt you."

You want to know how something like this ends? Heart break. It always does.

8. "We both want the same thing. To go back to your bedroom. Have sex. Never see each other again." - Samantha Borgens

It's straight. To the point. And if people started saying this in bars, it would probably make one night stands a lot less awkward.

9. "You're cute, Lou. But you reek of romance and good intentions." - Samantha Borgens

Which is the worst some times.

10. "The most important things are the hardest to say."

Whether it's how much you care about someone or calling them out on how much they hurt you.

So this movie isn't just a movie. It's a road map to my soul.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
