10 Famous Feminist Men

The face of feminism isn't always female. These men understand the importance of having women as their equals rather than their inferiors. All men (and women), please take notice. #HeForShe

10 Famous Feminist Men

1. John Legend

"All men should be feminists. If men care about women's rights the world will be a better place. We are better off when women are empowered, it leads to a better society."

All of me loves all of you for this, John.

2. Ryan Gosling

"It's misogynistic in nature to try and control a woman's sexual presentation of self."

Thanks, Ryan.

3. Prince Harry

"When women are empowered, they immeasurably improve the lives of everyone around them – their families, their communities, and their countries. This is not just about women, we men need to recognize the part we play, too."

Yes, even the Prince of the United Kingdom is a feminist.

4. Joss Whedon

"I think it also goes back to my father and my stepfather, because they prized wit and resolve in the women they were with above all things, and they were among the rare men who understood that recognizing someone else's power doesn't diminish your own."

If you do not know who Joss Whedon is, he wrote and directed the last two "Avengers" movies.

5. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

"There were some people that were saying that feminism made sense in the past but it doesn't anymore because men and women are equal now. I'm no expert, but I think the facts are pretty contrary to this. There are still plenty of tensions and unfair situations that arise more so for women than for men."

JGL you make me smile.

6. Jon Hamm

"I'm down with the strong ladies.” He is also very aware of how his hit show "Mad Men" has affected sexism.

Jon is nothing like Don.

7. Andy Samberg

"It’s crazy. Since there have been men and women, there have been funny women. Men keep saying that women aren't funny. It makes me crazy. I find it disgusting and offensive every time."

...supporting women.

8. Mark Ruffalo

“My own mother fought to make herself more than a possession, she lived her life as a mother who chose when she would have children, and as a wife who could earn a living if she so chose. I want my daughters to enjoy that same choice.”

When the Hulk finds out you are not a feminist.

9. Daniel Radcliffe

"I think anyone who isn’t [a feminist] at this point is swimming against the tide, just like people who are vaguely homophobic or racist or sexist or whatever it is. I just think 'God, you’re still keeping that up? Give it up, you’ve lost.'”

Harry Potter: The Boy Who Supported Equal Rights For Women.

10. Steve Carrell

Steve wore He For She cufflinks, designed by Emma Watson, on the Oscar red carpet.

Celebratory dance party for these awesome guys.

Bonus: The Dalai Lama

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
