10 Emotions Every College Student Feels During Spring Break
Daytona Beach Spring Break 2016

Spring Break is upon us or, at least, close to being upon us. It is one of the greatest times of a college student's life. Some people go to the beach with friends or home to see their family. Regardless, Spring Break provides a nice break from schoolwork. Day by day, a college student's attitude changes in regards to school and the break we get from it.

Here are 10 emotions every college student goes through during Spring Break.

1. Freedom Friday

So what if you barely made it -- it's finally over! The agonizing wait is over. The midterms are finally finished. Who cares if you failed them; you finally get a break! For a whole week, you have freeeeeeedommmmm!

2. Sleepy Saturday

There is nothing quite like that first morning with no school, and you can finally sleep in. The curse of the 8 a.m. is finally over. You have won, for at least one day anyway.

3. Same Sunday

Saturday was great and all, but you just need one more day of sleep and laziness. You know that you have all week for that, but you have to get ahead of the game. The struggle is that your parents want to spend one day with you before they go to work for the week. I guess they'll have to drag you.

4. Money Monday

It may be boring, but you decide that you have to do something with your week off of school. Sure, it's not the ideal thing, but you might as well go back to your high-school job to get a little spending money.

5. Torture Tuesday

You aren't even halfway there, but you are so bored. Everyone is gone, and you have nothing to do. Sure, there is homework to be done, but you have a long time left for that. It's like torture having to sit at home alone all day.

6. Weeping Wednesday

Tears are starting to flow. You are completely caught up on all of your TV shows, and there are no more funny Vines or YouTube videos to watch. The weird thing is, you don't know if the tears are from boredom or the realization that the week is quickly coming to an end.

7. Trying Thursday

Your parents get onto you for doing nothing with your life all week. You tell them you will do something, like take a walk or work on homework.

8. Focus Friday

Today is the day. All the papers and homework you have put off all week will finally get finished. You don't want to spend your weekend worrying about finished these mundane tasks, so you are determined to get it all done.

9. Salty Saturday

It's your last day to sleep, be lazy, and enjoy your break. All you want to do is enjoy it peacefully, but there seems to be that one person that bugs you to do something. Make them pay for interrupting your laziness.

10. Sad Sunday

What is the meaning of life? That is all you can think about as you pack up your things to head back to your dorm room. Sure, you are ready to see your friends, but that does not outweigh your love for your bed. You wave goodbye to your parents and, most importantly, sleep as you realize you have to enter back into the world of classes every day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
