Eating healthy can sometimes be a little tricky in college when you’re tempted by late night Pizza Shuttle and Insomnia deliveries. Here are a few simple and easy snacks to get your year started off on a healthy note!

1. Rice Cakes with Peanut Butter & Bananas

Grab your favorite rice cakes, throw some peanut butter on there, and maybe slice up a banana or strawberry for on top and you’re good to go!

2. Chobani & Granola

Choose your favorite kind of yogurt and granola, mix them and ta-da you’ve got a yummy, on-the-go mix for those early morning classes.

3. PB&J Twist

If you ever get tired of the classic pb&j try this pb&j twist!! All you need is bread (whole wheat to make it healthy), almond butter, strawberries (or any fruit really), and honey!

4. Avocado on Toast

This seems to be the new craze and it is so good for you! Whether you slice it or spread it, avocado on toast is yummy!!

5. Apple Chips

Set your oven to 200F degrees, slice the apples super thin for more crunchiness, sprinkle some cinnamon goodness on them, have them bake for about 2.5 hours, flip them halfway in between, and your apple chips will be to die for!!

6. No Bake Breakfast Balls

Mix chocolate chips, toasted coconut, vanilla extract, peanut butter, oats, honey, and flax seeds in a bowl. Then roll them into little balls, let them sit in the fridge for about 15-25 minutes and enjoy!

7. Banana Nutella Wrap

Grab any flour tortilla and pop it in the microwave for about 8-10 seconds to soften it up. Then spread however much Nutella you’d like on the tortilla and wrap the banana up inside it. Slice your banana sushi into pieces and eat away!

8. Apple Sandwich

Choose your favorite apples, peanut butter, raisins, and granola for this easy snack. Simply remove the cores from the apples, cut the remaining apple to make thick slices, spread peanut butter on the inside, and add raisins and granola on top.

9. Cucumber Sandwich

Get any cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Then add turkey, ham, cheese, whatever you please on to the bottom slice. Top the sandwich off with another slice and you’ve got a delicious cucumber sandwich!

10. Apple Nachos

Slice up your favorite apples, drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce over them, and add coconut, chocolate chips, etc. on top! No baking necessary and they’re still so good!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
