While I will most likely never be lucky enough to attend the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, I still take it upon myself to pay close attention to the event every year. This is one of the most important nights in fashion and the different variety of dresses shown makes me wish I owned some of them. Here are my ten favorite dresses from the Met Gala 2016!

1. Emma Watson

Emma's dress is not only beautiful but a promotion of sustainable fashion! You would never know, but this dress is made completely of recycled plastic bottles.

2. Kate Hudson

This white gown worn by Kate Hudson really caught my eye! Created by Atelier Versace, I would not expect anything less.

3. Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner always knows how to rock a red carpet, but her Versace dress at the gala was definitely a crowd favorite.

4. Blake Lively

Not only do I wish I could have Blake Lively's gorgeous Burberry dress, but I also wish I was her. The Queen of the Met Gala never fails to impress!

5. Nina Dobrev

The always beautiful Nina Dobrev wore something unlike anything she has ever worn before with this Marchesa dress.

6. Karolina Kurkova

This floral dress by Marchesa is one that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it!

7. Karlie Kloss

This Victoria's Secret model turned NYU Freshman slays her Brandon Maxwell dress.

8. HAIM

Although these three musical sisters wore dresses that were a bit out of the box, I love the Greek goddess vibes they are giving through their look!

9. Zoey Deutch

Floral print + Pretty Train = Perfect dress

10. Claire Danes

Last, but certainly not least, Claire Danes was the star of the 2016 Met Gala. Not only is her dress beautiful, but it lights up which pretty much makes this every girl's dream gown.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
