If Pinterest is your favorite place to be and you have a drawer dedicated to crafting, here are some projects you need to try.

1. Customized Cooler

If you've made a cooler for a date to formal, you know how awesome if feels to finish a custom cooler. So why not make one for yourself? Plus, you can bring it to parties for everyone to admire.

2. Crochet Blanket

Useful and great gifts, crocheting anything is a great way to save money and have a hobby that can help you relax after class or work.

3. Necklaces

Bead and pendants stores are the best and the possibilities are endless. They also make great gifts. I love making jewelry because when I find necklaces that I love at a store, except for one extra quirk, you can go home and make the same thing, the way you want it.

4. Cut-off shorts

They can go extremely wrong or they can go extremely right, and become your favorite pair of shorts. Either way, it is worth a try. And you might be able to upgrade your favorite pair of pants when you get paint on them.

5. Re-purpose a piece of furniture

Any thrift store has cheap furniture, but they are not always something you want to look at every day, or possible ever. However, you can paint old cabinets or stain an old table to look like a antique treasure.

6. Quilting

If you are in a sorority, this is a must. All those T-shirts have to go somewhere and a T-shirt quilt is a great way to keep them around in a manageable form.

7. Picture Frames

Pictures can bring a sentimental touch to your home and there a billion ways to create a picture frame or re-purpose a old picture frame to display photos.

8. Glassware

There are markers out there that you can use to decorate a plain glass. Some of them can even go in the dishwasher. Etching glass is also a really cool project to try. You can make a really classy glass set that is completely unique to you and let out your creative side.

9. Paint Ceramic

The New Beagle in Rolla, MO has a large variety of ceramic pieces and a large variety of glaze so you can paint your own custom mug and then pick it up after they have fired it. There are stores like this all over the country. Check one out and let them do the work for you after you have all the fun.

10. Calligraphy

If you enjoy writing or just want to make your journal more colorful, there plenty of cool ways to use calligraphy. You don't even have to use ink, if you want your chalkboard to be a work of art you can do that too! Who knows, you could even make your notes a work of art.

I love do it yourself projects because no matter what you want to do, there is probably a tutorial that will help you do it, even with no experience. So, no matter your skill level, try these out. And don't worry, there are plenty more where these came from.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
