The Christmas season is approaching very fast and if you are ahead of the game, you are already putting up your Christmas decorations. While everyone hangs up Christmas lights every year to light up the inside and outside of their homes, trying new decorations is always a good thing. There are many do it yourself Christmas decorations on Pinterest that will brighten your home for the season. Here is a list of 10 DIY Decorations to try out this year.

1. Fur letters.

All you need is wooden letters and faux fur, hot glue to glue the fur onto the letters and that's it!

2. A Snowman Decoration to make your door look festive.

All you need is some different colored construction paper and Christmas ribbon.

3. A Sock-Snowman.

You can use any sock that you have laying around in a drawer. All you have to do is cut the sock in two pieces at the ankle and use rice to stuff the sock. Tie the sock and use buttons to decorate the sock.

4. Make a Christmas Tree of lights on a wall to lighten things up.

All you need is some Christmas lights and a clutter free wall.

5. Christmas Tabletop Ornament Tree.

You will be surprised what a knitting needle and ornaments can come together to make.

6. A Candy Cane Wreath.

Candy Canes are a great holiday candy, but they can also come in handy for a few decorations.

7. Paw Print Christmas Ornament.

This would be a cute idea for an ornament for your pets.

8. Popsicle Snow-Flakes.

This decoration is very simple. All you need is popsicle sticks and hot glue.

9. Plastic Spoon Christmas Tree.

You can get plastic spoons very cheap at any store, glue the tops of the spoons together and add some paint.

10. Melted Crayon Ornaments.

Brighten up your clear ornaments by melting different colored crayons onto them.
