Every once in a while, we might have a bad week. Okay, maybe more often than not. I can't remember the last time I asked a friend how their week was going, and their response was "It's going great! Everything is fine!" In fact, I don't think that has ever been said by a college student. But I could be wrong.

At any rate, here are 10 very important and relevant Disney quotes to help you get through the rest of your week:

1. "The human world is a mess. Life under the sea is better than anything they got up there!"

Sometimes I wish I could be a happy red crab and live under the sea, but unfortunately, I am not equipped with such talents. Besides, we can't abandon the "human world" every time a situation gets sticky.

Right now especially, it probably seems like there's very little to be happy about in the world. Whether it's the stressful election, death and destruction in our country or others, or a local concern, we need to accept that there will always be something upsetting going on in our lives. But there are so many things to be happy and excited about, you may just have to search for them.

2. "You and I are a team. There is nothing more important than our friendship."

I don't consider the term "best friend" exclusive. In fact, I have several people and family members who I call my best friends. Sometimes we let things get in the way of a good friendship. This is the time where we should stand back and look at how much this situation matters in the long run. Is it worth getting so upset or possibly losing a friend over? In many cases, it is not. Consider this: Mike and Sully had a huge falling out in Monsters Inc. For a while, it looked like their friendship was history. It took some time, but the two were able to forgive and forget by the end of the film, thus saving their beloved friendship.

3. "Hakuna Matata, it means no worries."

This should be self-explanatory. Remember this simple phrase when you start to stress, and you'll most likely burst into song even in the most inappropriate of venues.

4. "You wanted to be petty and dishonest?"

This quote is from Hercules, but the actual quote was a little too long to put in bold:

Hercules: You know, when I was a kid, I would have given anything to be exactly like everybody else.

Meg: You wanted to be petty and dishonest?

Hercules: Everybody's not like that.

Meg: Yes, they are.

Hercules: You're not like that.

Even Megara knows that people suck sometimes. It's easy to start to feel like EVERYBODY is "petty and dishonest" when you deal with people like that on a daily basis. Especially when these people are considered your friends, it develops a broad feeling towards all people in general. However, don't lose hope! Deep down, you probably know lots of people who are kind and true. Try to detach yourself with people who start pointless drama and arguments. It's better for your well-being to associate with honest friends.

5. "The flower that blooms in adversity... is the most rare and beautiful of them all."

Listen to your parents, listen to your grandma, and listen to every adult that told you something similar to this growing up.

6. "Life's not a spectator sport. If watchin' is all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without ya."

This quote helps me get through the week because it helps motivate me to get active, get busy, and get my stuff done. Don't just go through the motions of life and academics, get involved, get engaged! It's a much better way to pass the time. Plus, when you look back at your college years, you'll have fonder memories than just cramming for that one test and sleeping all day.

7. "You should learn to control your temper."

I'm guilty of this as much as the Beast is. I'm glad Belle calls him out on his anger in the movie, because sometimes it takes another person telling you to calm down for you to realize how you're acting.

8. "The very things that held you down are gonna carry you up and up and up..."

I don't mean literally, as sadly, most of our ears are incapable of supporting our body weight. However, try to use the things that hold you down as a springboard to reach higher and better things.

9. "Oh I hate all this uncertainty... "

Many people in college struggle with uncertainty on an hourly basis. Will I pass this test? Will I have enough money for food? Will I graduate on time? As my dad would say, that's all a part of the experience. And it sucks. But keep looking ahead, and know that you're not alone.

10. "Just keep swimming!"

Ah, there it is. The phrase your annoying friend says to you when you're down. You might even have it on a bag or a phone case. Why do we hear this phrase all the time? Because the little blue fish is right! In times of sadness, uncertainty, and fear you must keep going. If you can get through this one moment, you'll be just fine. This isn't the first time you've felt like you have no where to go, and it won't be the last. But what do we do? We swim!

There are so many more Disney/Pixar quotes I wanted to use, but these were my top ten. For more inspiring quotes, watch any Winnie the Pooh movie. I'm serious. My personal favorite is Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin. You're welcome.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
