10 Disney Quotes Everyone Should Live By

As we grow older, it's easier to forget about the easy days when your responsibilities were 2+8=10 and playing outside. This time was created for fun and learning. What we didn't know at the time were the life lessons that were provided in things like our favorite movies and TV shows. Disney in particular provides lessons kids don't even notice at the time. This is a list of quotes I've compiled from a variety of Disney movies, and even Walt Disney himself, that I like to remind myself, even apply, in my everyday life.

This "Winnie The Pooh" quote is something that everyone should live by. I know that for me, I get discouraged all the time by bad test scores, a long day, or even a poor night's sleep. This is a reminder that there is always hidden potential. Whether you think it’s there or not, this quote should lead you to changing your mind. If you wake up every day knowing that it’s a fresh start to do something for yourself, take advantage of that. Use the time that you have and make progress, because you are brave, strong, and smart. You can do the things you’ve always wanted to, because you’ve had the potential inside all along.

This is one of my favorite quotes of all-time, because the people that I am closest to are all the ones that are just a little off. Being yourself and being comfortable in your own skin is so important. I personally believe that everyone is a little weird in their own way. So, whatever it is that you think separates you from the crowd, or makes you feel like an outsider, embrace it.

This quote might not be as fun to relate to but it’s a great motivator when things get tough. I often find myself defeated in a bad situation, but the words of this "Pocahontas" star, is a reminder that success doesn’t come easy. Every path has an uphill battle, and remembering that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel is the only way to make it through sometimes.

I am a certified worry wart. I get worried over anything and everything. This is a quote that I try and remind myself when I get myself into trouble. When you work your hardest and put 100 percent into everything you do, you can't be worried about whether it was good enough, especially if it's something that has already happened and can't be changed. Worrying is easy, but believing that things can turn up is what's truly important.

Living in the past is a problem that a lot of people have today, including myself. It's easy when you've been hurt, or gone through something significant to think about that, and only that. But it's imperative that you accept what can't be changed. You can't go back in time, or change the outcome, but you can stay positive and remember that there are brighter days ahead. Not only should you consider that things can get better, but if it's something that you can work towards and find a better way towards a greater outcome, you have to take advantage of that. Learn from the mistakes you make, and let go of the things you can't change.

As a child you'll hear this quote day in and day out, which is probably a good thing. As simple as it is, it is something that a lot of people in our generation need to learn. I think this goes along with the idea of minding your own business. Social media and society have made this very hard, and bringing people down with words is way easier than people believe. Sometimes, it's just a better idea to keep your mouth shut than to stir up trouble by saying the wrong thing.

I firmly believe in making the most of every moment. I also believe it's up to everyone as an individual to decide how they want to do that. Everyone wants to look back on their lives knowing they did everything they could to make a mark on the people they're leaving behind. These are the kinds of decisions we need to make for ourselves. Don't let anyone tell you how you spend your time or how you make your memories, because it's you're memories to make, not theirs.

I consider this more about trusting your gut. The feeling you have deep in your stomach or in your heart is so much more important than the ideas you get in your head. Its easy to overthink everything and the conclusions you come up with in your head are much more unrealistic than the reality the feeling in your stomach is trying to lead me to. If you feel a little sick about it, there's a reason for it.

I think it's important for a lot of people to get this concept through their heads. You have to be yourself and allow someone to accept you for who you are, and you should never feel like you have to change yourself to please someone else. You have to be your own person and love someone who loves you for everything about you, even the things you think are flaws. That is the most crucial thing for any real relationship.

This is the most imperative time in our lives for finding ourselves. This realization doesn't come all at once, but as time goes on, and priorities change, discovering yourself becomes easier. Once you have found yourself, you can see the real things that are actually necessary in your life. It may mean letting go of things you never expected, but the decisions you make will lead you to a better life overall, that is about you, rather than everyone else around you.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
