10 Disney Movie Quotes For A Rainy Day
Annie Shirley

This time of the year can be rough. The end of the semester is coming, but not quickly enough. The weather is getting warmer, but not warm enough to be the great summer warmth. It rains a lot, standardized testing is happening, and huge projects keep piling up. It's not easy, but here are some Disney quotes to brighten up your day.

1. "If you can dream it, you can do it." - Walt Disney

No better way to start this list than with words from the man himself. It's easy to think of something as impossible, but Walt's words remind us that anything can be accomplished if you have a dream.

2. "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." - Lilo, "Lilo and Stitch"

At the end of the day, family is the people who are there for you when you need it most. Family doesn't always have to be blood, your best friends can be family. Family will help you get through all the difficult seasons of your life.

3. "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all." -Fa Zhou, "Mulan"

You may be going through some awful times now, but these trials are only making you stronger. Each trial is preparing for you something that's coming in your future. With all the tough times, you're just setting the stage for something beautiful that's coming.

4. "Some people are worth melting for." - Olaf, "Frozen"

Say what you will about "Frozen," this quote is adorable. Whether it's your mom, your best friend, or your significant other, someone is always worth "melting" for.

5. "No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true." - Cinderella, "Cinderella"

Similarly to the "Mulan" quote, this reminds us that no matter how hard things can get, there are always hopes and dreams that carry us through to happier times.

6. "The past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it, or you can learn from it." - Rafiki, "The Lion King"

...and running from your problems often just leads to more problems. So, you can take the hurt from your past and use it to make a better future.

7. "Just keep swimming!" - Dory, "Finding Nemo"

No matter how rough the waters can get, the best thing to do is to just keep swimming through. You may not get far at first, but you're going to get somewhere. And it's important to keep moving forward.

8. "If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead." - Gusteau, "Ratatouille"

"Ratatouille" is one of the more forgotten Disney movies, but it's full of quotes like this one. It's similar to the quote from "Lion King" in that it reminds us that though there can be so much pain in the past, there are so many good things yet to come in the future.

9. "If you're scared, just be scarier than whatever is scaring you!" - Thumper, "Bambi"

It seems pretty simple. Look your huge project in the eye and just be scarier! Don't let your tasks overwhelm you, push through and show them who's boss.

10. "It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine." - Eeyore, "Winnie the Pooh"

Eeyore is one of the best-known sad characters, so I was surprised to find this quote. Even on the rainiest day, there can be spots of sunshine. So, keep looking for that sunshine.

So, no matter how rough the waters get or how much the past can hurt, it is important to keep looking for sunshine and move forward. I know times can get tough, but always remember that Disney movies will always be there with happy quotes to make you smile.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
