11 Disney Channel Shows We All Miss

Not a day goes by that you don't hear someone say, "I miss the old Disney." Referring to a time when Disney Channel had a multitude of shows that everyone loved watching. Today, Disney Channel has some good shows but it also has some okay shows and then some really bad, annoying shows. It just seems like as time goes on the shows aren't as good as they used to be. Here's 11 shows that I know we all miss; especially, if you were a 90's baby.

1. Lizzie Mcguire

I don't know a soul alive who didn't love Lizzie Mcguire. She was your typical high school outcast with her two best friends Gordo and Miranda. She had to battle Kate, the evil popular girl, who would always put Lizzie down any chance she got. And who could forget the ever so handsome, Ethan Craft? If anything, you related to Lizzie on every level. From her annoying little brother to her ultimate clumsiness. We only wish we had a cool animated inner voice too.

2. That's So Raven

Everybody knows that our favorite psychic will always be Raven. Every time she did her signature vision face we all knew something was about to go down, usually involving Chelsea and Eddie. Let's not forget her awesome fashion sense and those dance moves that put us all to shame. Before Beyonce's booty was Raven's booty. If anything we're all still singing the theme song, never missing a chance to say, "Yup! That's Me!"

3. Kim Possible

"What's the Sitch?!" Probably the show with the most memorable catch phrase and ringtone is Kim Possible. One of my personal favorites. I mean who doesn't love completing missions and compelling love triangles? Kim was a cheerleader by day and she was saving the world from super villains by night. And we can't forget Ron Stoppable and his trusty naked mole rat sidekick, Rufus. This was one of those shows you could watch over and over again and never get sick of it.

4. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Who else wished their mom was the singer for a hotel so you could live there? Probably TV's most attractive twins of all time were Zack and Cody. This was the show that brought us Mr. Moseby, Maddie, London, and Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya De La Rosa Ramirez. We all tried for days to get that name remembered in our heads. Zack and Cody's destruction of the hotel on every episode kept our hearts happy and our minds mischievous.

5. Hannah Montana

Miley was the girl with the best of both worlds. She was your typical southern girl battling big pimples and boy crushes living the double life of international pop star Hannah Montana. With her crazy family and fun loving best friends, you were sure to laugh for hours on end.

6. The Proud Family

The Proud Family marked the first Disney Channel original series. Penny Proud, the fourteen year old antagonist, was your typical teenager embarrassed by the oddness of her father, Oscar. And none of us can ever forget, Suga Mama Proud, Penny's wrestling-loving grandma. The Proud family was pretty crazy but there was never a dull moment.

7. Even Stevens

Every family has a Louis. Every family wanted a Ren. But Ren and Louis could never believe they were related. And in that non-believing came that brother, sister torment we all have been through in our lives one way or another. Louis was your typical pre-teen boy always pulling pranks on his friends and family, especially Ren. The Stevens family will always have a special place in our hearts.

8. Wizards of Waverly Place

Even though she wasn't supposed to, Alex always went against her parents wishes and used magic to get what she wanted. In the end though, it almost always never worked out and she got in trouble anyways. The goal is to become good enough to win the family wizard competition, where only one wizard will get to keep their powers. We all knew Justin was the best but I'm sure we all thought that in the end, Max would take it.

9. Cory in the House

If you didn't wish your mom sang in a fancy hotel, then you definitely wish your dad was a chef in the White House. A spin-off from That's So Raven, Cory in the House was your typical teenager in the White House. Just like in That's So Raven, he quickly cooked up may different schemes to try and get rich quick. But was quickly stopped and outwitted by the President's daughter, Sophie.

10. Phil of the Future

Another one of my personal favorites, Phil of the Future stole our hearts from the beginning. A family from the future, Phil seems to be the one most in tune trying to figure out the present until his crazy mom and dad can figure out how to put the time machine back together. And nobody can forget his scheming little sister Pim who made it her job to make Phil's life a nightmare.

11. Life with Derek

If Derek, from Life with Derek, wasn't on your list of crushes then clearly you did something wrong in your childhood. He was so cute and funny and absolutely adorable. My favorite was the relationship he had with Ashley and how it always reminds me of how me and my brother act. Definitely one of my all time favorite Disney families.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
