10 Disney Channel Original Movies For Procrastinating

It's that time of year again. Either you're out of school or stuck instead studying for finals and cursing the fact all your friends are already out of school. Well, everyone needs a study break or something to do now that school is out and what's better than a good Disney Channel Original Movie? We all grew up watching them and they're just as much fun now. However, not every Disney movie is a gem so here's your handy guide to the Top 10.

1. "Smart House"

It's always funny to see technology (or made up technology) of the past and compare it to what we have now. We have smart houses today and none of them are quite as cool, or crazy, as this house. Mostly, you can just remotely adjust the AC and close the blinds today.

2. "Camp Rock"

Part of the reason this one made the list is because of the triumphant return of the Jonas Brothers even if they aren't a band any more, they're definitely back. At least, Joe and Nick are. Camp Rock is a throwback to the early days of the Joe Bros even if Demi Lovato's character is irritating.

Bonus points for Joe Jonas' hair. Just. Look. At. It.

3. "Twitches"

Twitches may not be one of those movies that will win a bunch of awards, but it sure is entertaining. It's still a classic Disney channel movie that was a Halloween staple for many kids growing up. The second movie isn't all that bad either.

4. "The Cheetah Girls"

Another classic Disney Channel Original Movie, Cheetah girls sparked dozens of Cheetah Girls birthday parties that likely horrified millions of parents. Not only that, but it's a Disney movie that is not entirely focused on romance and actually has a good amount of diversity.

5. "Kim Possible: So The Drama"

This may be cheating because it's a cartoon, but Kim Possible was the best of the Disney Channel shows. This is also the movie where Kim and Ron finally get together like we knew they would which is part of why this movie is so great.

6. "The Parent Trap"

It's a Disney Channel classic and it probably inspired dozens of kids to go to summer camp, even though most didn't meet their secret twin there. Young Lindsay Lohan playing twins trying to get her parents make together may have been totally unrealistic, but it is so fun to watch.

7. "Cadet Kelly"

Seeing Hillary Duff in anything brings back some serious nostalgia for "Lizzie McGuire" and her character in "Cadet Kelly" really is basically Lizzie McGuire. "Cadet Kelly" also has a great message about staying true to yourself, which is something that everyone needs to be reminded of on occasion.

8. "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century"

Zenon may not be as big as High School Musical, but it has all the makings of a great Disney Channel Movie. Raven Symone, funny space lingo, and a vibe that's so late 90's / early 2000's. It's a great movie that's pretty light and it's always funny to see what people back in the day thought the 21st century would be like.

9. The Halloweentown movies

With the exception of "Return to Halloweentown," which everyone should just pretend never happened, this series was fantastic. Pretty much everyone grew up wishing that their grandmother was as cool as Aggie Cromwell. Also a great movie for a Halloween movie marathon, but it's awesome no matter the season.

10. The High School Musical movies

You knew this was going to be number one. It had to be. Not only are the High School Musical movies a staple of most current high school and college students' childhoods, it is also the most watched series of movies on Disney Channel. It had to be number one.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
