Summer is here, which means it is time for campfires! Campfires are a summer tradition perfect for enjoying the warm weather and spending time with friends and family. Everyone loves a good campfire, but what they love more is enjoying some delicious campfire treats! The first thing that comes to mind when you think about campfire treats are obviously s'mores. While s'mores are delicious, there are so many more treats that you can make that are just as simple and tasty! Ditch the s'mores and use these 10 recipes to make delicious campfire treats that will become your new favorites.

1. Banana Boat

I have been making banana boats for years, and I can personally attest that they are delicious! They are pretty much a s'more in a banana and are simply amazing. The first time I had one was at camp, and I will admit that I was upset that we were not making s'mores until I actually tried it and fell in love! Banana boats are the perfect campfire food because they are so simple to make and only require a few ingredients that you usually have in your kitchen. Practically anyone can make them, so they are great for campfires with people of all ages. You can also add more to the banana boat if you want! I personally love to add peanut butter by adding peanut butter chips to the ingredients.

Ingredients: Four bananas, one-half cup of chocolate chips, one-half cup of miniature marshmallows, one-half cup of crushed graham crackers.

Directions: Cut four sheets of foil that are 12 inches long. Make a deep lengthwise cut along the inside curve of each banana. (Be careful not to cut all the way through the banana.) Open the slit to form a pocket. Fill each banana with two tablespoons of chocolate chips, two tablespoons of marshmallows, and two tablespoon of crushed graham crackers. Wrap each banana in foil, making sure that the foil opening is on the top. Using tongs, set wrapped bananas on a campfire or hold them above the fire. Cook for eight to 10 minutes. Carefully remove the bananas from the fire and peel back the foil.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
